WOW... I myself, being MECP certified and having worked in the industry, am downright offended by the unethical business practices of this place. Today I stopped in for audio components for my new car, and as I am from out of state and living in a hotel (for work) I looked to what appears to be the only established CAR STEREO SHOP in the area to install my system. While I’m checking out a head unit that I was actually quite interested in, I’m greeted by (judging by his use of first person as opposed to “we”, like a business, I only assume is) the owner. I ask what they would charge to install a brand new amplifier ($1000, so I’d like it done right). He asks me where I purchased it, and when I confirm that it was not there, he proceeds to tell me that he will not install ANYTHING unless it is purchased from him. Don't bother bringing in high end components to add to your system, as this place refuses to provide service for anything that they don't MAKE MONEY OFF OF TWICE. Too bad, too, it was my intention on picking out a top of line viper alarm to protect my system (again, intent was to be installed right) as well as finish shopping for a head unit and speakers. Take your chances with the kids at Best Buy, and save your money for someone who isn't hell bent on PRICE GOUGING EVERY SINGLE ITEM.
