When a person pays 45$ an hour there is an expected level of quality anticipated during a lesson at a show barn. Granted I was just a "lesson taker" and not a leaser or boarder, I still expect to get reasonable attention that does not include conversing with parents from other lessons or texting on a cell phone the majority of the lesson. I found it disapointing when a boarder participated in a group lesson and was dedicated time and detailed instruction that regular lesson riders are not privy to. In the end I work hard for my money, and there are enough barns in area that I can take my buisness to. It is also disapointing to me that the owners do not take time to introduce themselves to new and expierence non-boarders. I rode there for a few months and was never approached by the owners or even told hello. I still have no idea who they are to this date. There is no way I board there or continue doing buisness if I am not worth anyones time, then I guess they are not worth my money. I would take my money somewhere else where people have a vested interest in people other then those already involved. If you interested in lessons only, this is not the place if you want to learn advanced tecniques.
