Businiess name:  Don' Rafav's Mexican & More
Review by:  Melinda K.
Review content:
Don Rafav's is our favorite place for inexpensive and great tasting Mexican food in GR. It is located in Eastown, next to Billy's, in a tiny shop that was formerly home to Monster Burrito. The food is all made fresh. The salsa is to die for - you MUST get the chips and salsa as an appetizer. My favorite is the quesadilla with chicken. Cheesy and tasty. The chicken is actually good, not just overcooked dark meat like a lot of places. My hubby likes everything he has tried - burritos, fajitas, breakfast (served all day). My 4-year-old adores the strawberry soda and other unusual Mexican juices and sodas. Additionally, the owners, Ralph Wals and his wife, are great people. When my husband's brother and his wife from the Detroit-area unexpectedly gave birth to their daughter prematurely and in GR (a long way from home), the Wals welcomed them for their weekly dinner away from the hospital. A picture of tiny Gabby (born at 1.5 pounds) is prominently displayed by the soda machine!
