Review content:
I usually do not write reviews, but after visiting that place I am feeling that I should share my experience with others. Few days back I visited Thai Rama @ Canyon Park - Bothell with my wife. It was my second (and probably last) visit and did not have much experience about their food quality.
We entered to that restaurant at 8 pm, the waiter cum manager told us kitchen will be closed t 8:30, so, he was in hurry to get orders for food within a minutes. I got a feeling that we need to complete our diner and get out as ASAP.
I ordered four dishes and found three of them are below my quality expectation. I did not expect anything extraordinary, but fresh food. Chicken ware smelling very bad (as it was frozen for months) and other seafood ware not fresh at all.
My dining experience was so unpleasant I thought not to pay any tips. Our bill amount was around 40 bucks and I signed the bill only for the billed amount. When the waiter cum manager saw that I did not paid any Tips, he brought that to my notice and appeared as disappointed, and then I added 5% tips as I was not satisfied with the service and food.
While we ware leaving, he told me “it’s bad” and enquired whether WE pay tips or not, he advised me that as I should know that minimum amount of tips is 15%. I was shocked with his behavior and attitude. I believe tip is to appreciate quality of service and should be given based on satisfaction level, so that quality of service should improve. Tip is not something which is mandatory, I never found any server who ask for tips and do not care about customer. I left the restaurant with a bitter dining experience I will not visit Thai Rama Bothell again.
