Similar story... I went in for a cleaning and he said I needed two crowns. I also believed he was a professional and knew what was in my best interest. I went in for the prep work and he CUT MY TONGUE 3 times!! I could not eat or speak for exactly 7 days. I was taking regular pain relievers those days so I did not feel the pain of my prep work. Once my tongue healed enough to no longer require on the clock pain relievers I started getting EXCRUCIATING pain in my teeth. It actually wakes me up in the middle of the night. He is not a dentist he is a butcher. He does not spend much time with his patients to fully explian the procedure, or answer questions. For me it felt like he wanted me to get me out of his office as soon as possible. I will never go back to him, and I don't recommend anyone else to either.
Turns out I could have gotten a filling instead. I think he was just making money off his client.
