My wife and I are always poking around thrift stores and rummage sales. One day my wife spotted a ring in a box of costume jewelry. It was marked with a letter but that was it but it looked like gold and had a deep red stone. We brought it to the jewelry buyers we deal with on Staten Island, We Buy Gold. It turned out to be 14K with a quality garnet and was worth 250.00 to them. We went out to dinner that night.
