Businiess name:  Unm Children's Hospital

Review content:
I grew up in alb. and UNMH was known as the hospital for those who had no insurance and back then(40 years ago) it was a stark place. My son needed and emergency appendectomy and since UNMH Childrens Hospital is the only hospital to do childrens' surgeries, I had to get him there immediately. I was a little nervous to take him there, but my nervousness faded in the first few minutes. The childrens' emergency area is separated from the adult ER and there is strict security-only the child with parent can enter. We were seen quickly, the dr. was friendly and attentive. He had surgery at 10pm. The nurses were kind and comforting. The childrens' hospital floor where he stayed for the next few days was bright with fun,kid-friendly decor. There was a bright room with tables and chairs where the kids can eat if they don't want to eat in their room, a big-screen TV with various videos, a game room, and a library with computers so that parents can check e-mails and have a snack. I spent the days and nights with my child(on the floor on top of fold-out cushion"bed". I never felt that I was an intrusion. The place, the nurses, everything was AMAZING. The follow-up was very good as well. If your child needs hospital care, this hospital provides state-of-the-art, expert, compassionate care.
