Businiess name:  Energy Improvements

Review content:
Sold us a package incl an EI controler, 'free' insulation (which they told us on installation that we didn't need), and radiant barrier. We choose them because they offered a guaranteed 25% reduction in energy consumption. However once we got a few month bills back and realized our consumption had not gone down but UP we called to file a claim and see if there were some installation or other errors that could simply be remedied. After ignoring our emails and 8 voice messages over 3 months we realized the company had no intention of standing behind their products or written guarantee. We resorted to certified mail to create a paper trail. After passing the buck we were finally able to get a response from the owner. He admitted poor service on the part of his scheduling manager but insisted they only paid out on their guarantee after we've had the product installed for 3 years. (That’s no where on the contract we signed. He also said they would only reimburse for electrical energy consumption; not for gas energy consumption during the winter months—also not in the contract). The owner’s solution --- what we really needed was an additional attic vent. For ANOTHER $1500 they would come and install that. When challenged on this point he offered to put it in for free but we would have to release him legally from all future claims even if the fan didn't provide the 25% reduction already promised. Told him we weren’t interested in spending MORE money since their guys inspected the house and sold us a package they already guaranteed would reduce our consumption by 25%. We also let him know that we were not going to forfeit our contractual rights in order to get them to honor that contract. We’ve already bought a product for $2496 nine months and they haven't made good on that promise. I would seriously shop else where if you value honesty, integrity, responsive customer service, and that will deliver what it sells.
