Review content:
Something about the Koch McErlain storefront is reminiscent of a gray fall day in New England, and it beckons you inside.
The NYC branch is not as large as its Summit NJ sibling, but it covers an impressive swath of UWS ground. Browse the ever changing jumble of furniture, accessories, silver, porcelain and architectural details for unique gems.
Authenticity isn't cheap, but the prices are fair. Among the predictable tilt-top tables, old upholstered chairs and divans, and artfully tarnished mirrors, you may spot charmingly weathered balustrades, old wall-mounted spice racks, and fur hats. Some fine bureaus, rocking chairs, and nesting tables are perennial denizens of the shop.
The proprietors are knowledgeable and ready to answer your questions. They also do estate buying.
