Review content:
We used H&R on Market Street when we first moved to Washington. All I can say is that this place is good if you're too lazy to do your own 1040 and you have nothing to itemize. The quality of their staff appeared slightly below par - you know, like they just graduated from tax school last week. The wait to see a "tax consultant" was unbelievable. On top of that, they screwed up our out of state tax return (we had half a year in California and half a year in Washington). When the state of California did a routine audit, they sent us a notice that we owed them a big chunk of money because of something H&R missed. H&R payed the penalty, but we still had the huge chunk of tax money to fork out. When we found this out, it was not tax season, so all calls to this office and other smaller offices were routed to one person at the Northgate office. We now have our own tax accountant who is more knowledgable, doesn't waste our time, and does a good quality job at advising us on our personal needs. It's not much more than what we paid H&R to do that one tax return.
