I ordered a dress for a wedding in August. I was measured and told they would order a dress according to those measurements. When I questioned the size, I was told the dress line I ordered ran larger than most. I also paid a rush fee to have it in time, even though I ordered it more than 16 weeks before I received it (the lead time they specify for orders). When the dress arrived it didn't fit. Big surprise! The girl that measured me was quick to tell me that I had gained weight, and that this was, "a common problem with a lot of brides." She "remeasured me" and told me my bust was 2.5 inches larger, and I had gained 3 inches in my waist. Funny, my same clothes and bras fit me. Then she asked me if I "had a long torso?" When I replied yes, she said, "I should have asked that before." When I asked if the dress could be taken out a little and the straps be let out for my "long torso", she said, "I don't know, I am not a seamstress." Forced to sign the waiver, on my way out, the dress was already paid for, I had no other options. Her final comment, "if it was my fault, I would do something for you, but it's not." With the wedding three weeks away, I have been faced with working out and being on a special diet, so I can get the dress to fit, but it doesn't fix my "long torso" problem. So far I have dropped a full size (smaller than when I went in to get measured) and the dress still doesn't fit, because the torso is too short. I found it hard to believe she didn't know if the dress could be let out, it's a bridal shop! They should have ordered it a size larger if it is a common problem for brides to gain weight, better too big than too small. If I had walked in and spent $5000, instead of $450, maybe they would have given me some service. Who cares if celebrities go there. If your dress doesn't fit for your wedding, they ain't paying to fix it. Pros: None Cons: Snotty service, charged for rush, when they didn't need too
