Review content:
Judging from the times I've eaten there, the Fire Bowl Cafe is one of the more popular stops at the Quarry Market. And its success is well deserved, as the restaurant offers a unique dining experience.
The main attraction of the Fire Bowl is that you create the dish you're eating. When you order, you choose the meat (or tofu, for vegetarians), the sauce, and the pasta; you're then given a bowl to fill with one of at least two dozen vegetable options - I lost count of all the different choices. The ingredients are then stir-fried together, and you'll get your meal in less than 10 minutes. The speed of service is pretty consistent, which is impressive given the number of customers I usually see at the restaurant.
Because you have a hand in the meal's creation, it's nearly impossible not to enjoy it, since it's made to your own taste. And the sheer variety of options means you never have to have the same meal twice. But be ready - together, all those ingredients make for a lot of food. You may have to pick up a container to carry the rest home.
But you will carry the rest home. The Fire Bowl offers excellent food at great value, and once you've been there, I'm confident you'll go back.
