Review content:
I dined there a few months back. The food and service were average. The prices a bit high. What troubles me most is what I heard from the kitchen and then later in the bar next to it. It seems they pay their employees under the table. As I said, I heard this from employees as well as regulars, so it is a pretty believable rumor. As a business owner myself, who is concerned with the fair treatment of my employees, this bothers me to no end. This means their employees have been talked into employment where no taxes, social security, or workman's comp. have been set aside for them. What do they do when injured? A kitchen is a dangerous place! Not only is this illegal, it brings American employment a step backward into the days of the industrial revolution or even slavery. I refuse to give patronage to a business that is not following American labor laws. The laws are there to keep employment fair for ALL of us. I may be investigating the rumors further and perhaps reporting them. Pros: Food was alright, not great Cons: High prices, questionable business practices, unhappy employees heard
