Skin Basics Day Spa in Cupertino/San Jose is a great place to go for massage. The atmosphere is perfect?calm, welcoming, serene, and very attractive--without being stuffy or pretentious. Kelli, the owner, is an excellent therapist. She?s skilled at a variety of massage types and she?ll work with you to find what you like best. Prior to going to Kelli, I?d had experiences with therapists who figured they knew best, regardless of what I wanted. Result: uncomfortable or unsatisfying massage. I love that Kelli is flexible and that she?s very, very good.
Kelly?s also very conscious of a client?s comfort level in terms of room temperature. Therapists usually adjust their rooms for their own comfort, as they?re warm while working. The result can be very uncomfortable when you?re lying down with only a sheet and blanket for covering. Kelli adjusts room temperature for the person getting the massage. For those like me, who are always cold, she has wonderful heat packs that are soooo nice and soothing. You get the feeling of being really pampered. One other thing worth mentioning?Kelli is super good about returning phone calls promptly and she?ll do her best to work you in, even on short notice, if it?s possible.
Pros: Great massage, very nice atmosphere
