Review content:
I went to the salon April 19th to have my hair braided, the stylist's name was Janet. I repeatedly told her that the braids that she was placing in my hair were extremely tight & causing me pain. She placed mousse in my hair & placed dryer heat on it, causing the pain to intensify. When I returned home, the pain was so intense immediately removed the braids. As I removed the braids, my scalp was swollen. There was glue on each braid, so my hair ripped as the braids came out. I went to my stylist in Phila. April 20th to repair the damage. She needed to cut 3-4 inches of my hair in order to remove the glue. She stated that my scalp will most likely remain swollen & tender for a few weeks I returned to the salon the following evening & asked to speak with the owner, I was told that he already left for the day. I explained my situation to her & provided her with a bag a hair that that was cut & broken off with the glue. Janet stated that she did not put glue in my hair, I then showed her the bag of my hair with the glue attached to it. She stated that it if it were so painful for me, how did my stylist do my hair, I stated that it would be unprofessional for me to go to work with unkempt hair & I would have caused more damage attempting to fix it myself, so I went to a professional. I returned to Willie's Hair Salon April 21st & spoke to the owner. He stated that after speaking to Janet he could only have HER place the braids back in free of charge or have another stylist do it. The owner stated that is against the law to make a reimbursement for services rendered & asked that I come back. I offered to provide him with the number of the stylist who fixed my hair so that she could relay to him the condition my hair and scalp was in; the owner refused. Do not go to Willie's His and Hers. I thought the owner was a kind and understanding man, but I was gravely mistaken, I reported the incident to the Better Business and Consumer Affairs.
Cons: Stylists and owner do not care about consumer complaints with proof!
