Review content:
I HATE BRA-SHOPPING! I spent my adolescence hiding under oversized clothing. I wore any size bra my Mom bought me to get her to leave me alone about my chest. She never knew my real size because I wouldn?t let her near me? so my Grandmother finally took me for my first professional bra-fitting because I inherited her ample bosom. Thanks Grandma! I walked out of that old-fashioned shop crying in an atrocious harness (38 DDD) that made me feel just UGLY. (We had to make a reservation, so embarrassing.) I?ve been wearing similar bras like that for years, until now. Yesterday, my husband and I were enjoying the street fair in front of La Petite Coquette and I remembered one of my friends told me about her experience there. I called her on my cell and she told me to ask for Barbara, the manager. I walked in and was greeted by the lovely Barbara herself. Her manner immediately put me at ease. She took me to a dressing room and took one look at me and said I was wearing the wrong size and style for my body type and handed me 2 bras (36FF & 36G) to try on. I was shocked to see myself in the mirror looking like I don?t really need that breast reduction I constantly dream about. She explained the importance of wearing my proper size (which can be different according to brand), the affect on my posture, my self-esteem and how my clothing will look. (I saw the Oprah segment about bra potential, but I guess you just have to experience it to believe it.) My husband gave a thumb?s up when he saw me walk out of the dressing room. I am a new woman. Thank you so much, Barbara.
Pros: Barbara
Cons: Not enough items, other than bras, in my size.
