I've been eating here for about 5 years. I've liked everything I've tried in that time. Personal faves include the burgers, which are enormous (half pound) and well-prepared and run around $6. Almost the entire breakfast menu is under $6 and the portions are really astounding. Dollar for dollar, you can't get better food in South Austin. Also, the downright weird human potpourri of regulars (myself included) make the bar a fun place to hang out in the evenings. Bring a laptop, get some work done and eavesdrop on conspiracy theorists, all while noshing on the best fried pickles in town. Seriously, try the fried pickles Oh, and the staff. Most of them are funny, friendly people - all worth knowing. Oh, and the owner actually chips in around the place (which is refreshing to see).
