Review content:
Galaxy 12 is a relatively new movie theater in Monroe near SR2. The theater is fairly standard with stadium seating and nice reclining seats whose arm rests also fold down for a more intimate dating experience I suppose. The theater differentiates itself from its competition in one key way however, at this point it is the only theater with digital projection in the state of Washington. This relatively new technology makes movies look clear and more vibrant. I viewed Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith (one of the few movies that takes advantage of digital projection technology at this time) and can atest to the difference, which is immediately noticeable. Sadly though, at this time only one theater of the twelve is equipped with the digital projector and few movies take advantage of the new technology.
Aside from the digital projector the Galaxy 12 is a fairly standard theater. It features an arcade, concessions, and a small cafe serving overpriced coffee and pastries. The movies it shows are fairly standard too so those seeking to find more obscure titles will still have to travel to Seattle to get their fix.
Overall I would recommend the Galaxy 12 over other movie theaters in the area. It's clean, the seats are comfy, and the digital projector is great.
