Even after reading the "bad" reviews of this hotel, my friend and I took the chance and booked a room. After departing the BART at the Powell St. station, we were able to walk through the bustling San Francisco streets to the hotel. Mithila Hotel was easy to find and had a charming vintage feel. We truly enjoyed the atmosphere. The room was small but clean, and provided a safe place to stay for the night. However, if you are the kind of person that is expecting a high class room, this is not the place for you. You must be the kind of person who can enjoy the simple things in life and see the beauty in even the most mundane detail. I must also mention, the hotel is only a brisk walk to the cable car that can take you directly to Fisherman's Wharf.
