When i became a New Patient, I didnt know what to expect. I came to the practice with very poor dental care. From the time i was a child i remember terrible experiances with dentists and very little care. My immigrant italian parents couldnt afford care, nor did they feel that dental care was important. By the time i was 18, my teeth were in real trouble, i never smiled i remember thinking, i cant be an actress because i don't have straight teeth. that was my dream as a teenager. I was an outgoing kid, but i put my hand over my mouth when i laughed. As an adult i was able to get some care, but i still was not where i wanted to be, i wanted to smile like everyone else. I was very embarrassed by my crooked and missing teeth. My first appointment was an emergency root canal, how was that for my introduction to dental care. Dr. Ackerman And His Team made me feel right at home, My first appointment didn't go so well, Dr. Flores and i didn't understand each other (Given his accent you can understand why) Dr Ackerman Came in and went over my plan and asked me what my goals were. From there we went to work, went over what doctors i needed to see, and what my options were. We took things One step At A Time. I was scared, very nervous, but very excited to start my treatments. That was more then three years ago, i have had extensive, sometimes almost Daily treatments. I was a happy patient because of the staff, Everyone assured me that it was going to work out ok, even when i had my doubts. Dr Flores and his assistants always made me feel like i was part of the Ackerman and associates family, Toni and Lisa, Held My Hand, Even Cried with me, Consoled me and encouraged me to go on. Many crowns, implants and impressions later, they are still the best cheerleaders in town. Dr Flores lead the team little by little, we were working towards my goals. My happiest Moments Came when i got my smile back. I had a two year healing process, from many bone graft surgeries, and Dr Flores made sure i got what i wanted.
