In your right-wing university that caters to the lunatic fringe you forgot some stuff. Carol Ann Brown a minor falling down an elevator shaft at Pepperdine. Pepperdine President Hugh M. Tiner being accused of elder abuse and then subsequently resigning. Litigation over how Pepperdine spends its money and the “secret fund” (Lexis/Nexis/LAT). Basketball center Reid Poole sues pepperdine for medical care. Suspicious fire(s) reported in the Los Angeles Times at Pepperdine Campuses (insurance fraud???). The sentencing to home detention of Pepperdine soccer player Tabetha Garibay Hoult for robbing a Westlake Village bank. The sentencing of Pepperdine Accounting Professor Joseph V. Nash to 11 years in prison for bank fraud and other accounting tricks (LAT). There are also stories about a pepperdine instructors being fired and manipulating test scores (The Graphic). The consumption of alcohol by staff, off campus to skirt the alcohol abstinence policy (bulletin boards). And of course there are all those workplace safety violations (insurance fraud/cost shifting???) Plus whatever the Los Angeles Herald Examiner and CLUE Reports say about Pepperdine??? And then there are all those EVACUATIONS that take place when the wild fires come (LAT). Somebody should write a soap opera about the goings on at Pepperdine with Charlie Sheen playing “Norvel Young,” chancellor, drunk, insurance fraud profiteer.
