I wasn't really familiar with credit unions or even thinking that I could be eligible untiI I got fed up with my bank, and heard that Del Norte was open to all residents of 14 northern counties of New Mexico. That was easy! So I kept going, and found that Del Norte offers everything I need -- from five-star ratings (safety) to ATMs, car loans, mortgages, decent rates on savings and CDs, free checking -- and really the most impressive thing is the genuine friendliness you feel as soon as you walk in. (It's one of their key values on the web site, but you know how those are sometimes - but Del Norte really lives up to their stated values.) All in all a pleasure to do business with, and as soon as I get my smartphone I'll even be able to use their mobile banking. They're more up-to-date than I am!
