I have taken my pets to Dr. Zymet for over two decades. He is a highly skilled veterinarian and provides outstanding personal service. His practice has been strong for many, many years, and that is due to his fine reputation. I highly recommend Dr. Zymet and his practice for the care of your pet. more

I recently attended a holiday party at the diner located next to this animal hospital. During that time we the area was in the middle of having a snowstorm. I have never been to this place for I have no pets. I parked my car towards the back of the diner and when I got out I heard dogs whining and howling from the next yard which has a broken down wooden fence. I couldn't see much but I could hear numerous dogs crying and barking OUTSIDE!! I asked one of the bus boys in the diner about it and he told me the vet has an outside boarding facility in the back of his practice. And that the dogs have been out there ALL DAY LONG! You could easily tell the poor pets were cold and not liking the severe low temps along with freezing winds and snow. How can you be a vet and offer boarding and keeping the poor creatures outside during the snowstorm and you could hear the poor things crying and yelping. If the owners of these pets were aware their dog would be outside I wonder if they would still be boarding their pets there. If so they might as well leave them in the comfort of their own home where they are kept safe and warm. more

Lhartj, I am sad to say but I agree with you about a year and a half ago I took my cat to him trying to find her a good home because I was very ill and had to move in with my children who's kids are allergic. The greedy bastard told me I should put him to sleep because I cant trust people to care for him and be honest about giving him a loving home! i couldn't believe my ears! He wanted me to put my cat down so badly he even offered to drop the cost a whopping ten bucks! I told him I would get back to him and of course left and never went back! I did find my Oscar a wonderful home and the family is nice enough to invite me over occasionally to see my boy! So to me Zymet is the only one that can""t be trusted and is a liar! Zymet you should be ashamed of yourself! You may have been in business for 40 years but it's funny everytime I pass your place the parking lot is empty I do not wonder why that is honestly I am glad that means that is less pets you are trying to kill! more

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS TERRIBLE MAN HE IS ONLY LOOKING TO RAPE YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!! HE IS RUDE AND VERY ROUGH WITH ANIMALS AND WOULD PREFER PUTTING AN ANIMAL TO SLEEP TO MAKE MONEY OVER FINDING A GOOD HOME FOR THE ANIMAL!! YOU PEOPLE MUST BELIEVE ME PLEASE IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET DONT EVER EVER EVEN THINK OF STEPPING FOOT IN HIS RUN DOWN OLD DIRTY MORGUE LOOKING ANIMAL HOSPITAL! THE KENNELS ARE RUN DOWN, RUSTY AND THE CONCRETE IT ALL BROKEN AND FALLING APART DONT BELIEVE ME GO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF! I WILL NEVER TAKE MY CAT TO HIM AGAIN! HE STABBED MY POOR CAT FOUR TIMES TRYING TO GET BLOOD AND KEPT MISSING BECAUSE HIS HANDS WERE SHAKING AND ALL HE KEPT DOING WAS TRYING TO FIND MORE WAYS TO MAKE MONEY OFF OF MY HEALTHY CAT! HE TRIED TO TELL ME IF I LOVED MY ANIMAL I WOULD DO ALL THIS STUFF TO HER THAT I FOUND OUT IN TWO OTHER VETS OPINIONS WERE ABSOLUTELY UNECESSARY! THEY SAID ONE OF THE PROCEDURES COULD HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN VERY DANGEROUS! AND I MUST AGREE WITH THE OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT THIS MANS PERSONAL HYGIENE! HE SMELLS LIKE ROTTING ONIONS AND PUKE! ALSO DURING MY VISIT HIS 90 YEAR OLD MOTHER KEPT WALKING IN THE EXAM ROOM SCREAMING RANDOM STUFF TO HIM WHICH ALSO SIDE TRACKED HIM FROM TAKING BLOOD! I AM SO SORRY TO THE ANIMALS THAT HAVE TO VISIT THIS MAN AND SO VERY SORRY FOR PUTTING MY CAT THROUGH THAT! I have read many of these reviews and to me it looks like family members are trying to stick up for this so called vet. I brought my cat in a few months ago and I have to agree with the previous review that yes indeed the vet had poor hygeine and a strong odor. Also he is too pricey and most vets do not charge a ton of money for a re examination or they don't charge a re examination at all! this dr. zymet told me i'd have to come back numerous times to have my pet rechecked and i would be charged each and every time! what a rip off! I would NEVER recommend ANYONE to bring their animal here. If you truely love your pet, research other places in the area, there are way better vets out there. This man also said he needed to run a certain blood test on my cat and said oh, never mind it's a cat not a dog! where did he get his license? A cereal box?? more

I have been taking my dog and cat to Dr Zymet for several years and have always been satisfied with the care he and his staff provided. He is an excellent Veterinarian both clinically and professionally. He cares about the families he serves and that shows in his diligence and dedication! I would recommend Dr Zymet to anyone without hesitation!. more

I brought my dog here recently and let me tell you, Dr. Zymet has POOR self hygeine! I don't know if it was his breathe or armpits that smelled so bad! Talk about not taking care of yourself and his overall presentation was horrible and sloppy! He overcharges and when I mentioned a lump on my dogs rear, he didn't even acknowledge it. Since then I have not returned and would NEVER recommend anyone to bring your pet here, if you love your pet DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! more

Dr Zymet has cared for my pets for 30+ years and I wouldn't trust anyone else! He has always treated me and my pets with the utmost professionalism and compassion! Dr. Zymet has cared for my dogs for the past thirty seven years. Both dogs lived very long, happy lives and got the best in veterinary care from Dr. Zymet. There are very few places one can go these days where you can meet with the same doctor every time and work with a doctor who knows your pet as well as he knows you. His RATES ARE VERY REASONABLE, especially given the economic climate -- and I guarantee you will not find another vet who cares as much for your pets as he does. Great service!!! Dr. Zymet gives my pets excellent care. I have been using him as my veterinarian for 15 yrs and he has always shown compassion towards my pets. The practive is very clean and well kept. Staff is very nice and helpful. Dr. Zymet is always informative regarding medications and makes sure I understand how to give my pets medication. The staff is very nice at this place, but the Doctor is INCREDIBLY rude and VERY pushy. He charges what I think to be way too much for just an annual exam. The place smells like urine, and Zymet is extremely abrasive. He did not seem to care about my animal at all and when I told the doctor that I am in the process of losing my house and getting a divorce, he said ""we are all having economic problems."" There are plenty of other great veterinary establishments out there and I DO NOT recommend going there at all. If you love your pet, you will take them elsewhere. Cons: Way to Expensive! more
