Zen restaurant Goldbelt Hotel Juneau, Alaska. 04February2011\r

The atmosphere was decent. The floor was stained. The 22-23 year old waiter was curt. I asked for water, it was filtered and taste great (unfiltered Juneau city water taste awful). I ordered ginger halibut. The fish taste old and there were several giant inch chunks of unpeeled ginger, vegetables over cooked and very oily . I asked my lunch date to taste the fish and she said it taste old as well. I continued to eat the halibut trying to be sure of what I was tasting. Overall this was a poor dining experience at a high price. The waiter did not returned to ask about our meal. We received the bill and I asked to speak to the manager. The waiter said ?he? was the manager. I pointed out the complaint and he said they do not peel ginger and they have a limited supply of halibut. What? Yes, he did say this. I have lived in various locations of Alaska for 9 years including 4 years in Southeast Alaska. T
