$8.00 dollar hot dog 11/11/2006

well i saw that zanzibar now serves the L A famous pinks hot dogs so i figured i would give it a try, well yes it's a hot dog , a regular $2.00 hot dog but the catch is they charge you $8.00 for it! i could not belive that two hot dogs and two soda's cost me $25.00 !! the service was not great , the food was very average ,the value was a joke! i would not complain if my bill was $10.00 like it should have been but $25.00 !! come on!!! Pros: open 24/7 Cons: no value more

Bad service, overrated 11/2/2006

First off this is suppose to be open 24 hours.....interesting. The staff was slow, incrediably inattentive. We had to go ask for your bill. When we complained about the lack of service, we were told ""oh, well we are closing soon."" again, they are suppose to be open 24 hours and this was at 3:30pm on a Saturday. Lots to choose from 3/27/2005

Lots of stuff to choose from on the menu and the portions were huge. I don't think I finished an entire meal (ate here multiple times during our stay). The french toast with fresh fruit is delicious (and served on a platter - you better be hungry!). My husband raved about the eggs benedict and reubens. Our drinks were never empty and the staff was friendly. Had to wait for a table one morning (CONEXPO was in full swing) and but it was a quick wait. Do need better ventilation for the stupid cigarette smoke. Pros: friendly staff Cons: breakfast pricey, somewhat smokey more

suprised 7/14/2002

we didn't know what to expect going in. We were really suprised, the food was great very ample portions, the chinese salad was the best I ever had. The biggest thrill was the chef coming to the table and talking to us, in a cafe? wow! more
