As of now, I do not recommend Young Chevrolet out of Layton, UT. This is why: Nearly 3 weeks ago I purchased a 2011 Dodge Avenger. I had been searching for one for quite some time now. I was so happy. I had been working hard to get to this point so I could purchase a newer car for my family. Yeeeee!! Chase, the car salesman, had made an honest mistake and thought the car was Bluetooth compatible. It was not. They stated they will get the part and have it installed. I also asked if they would tint the windows while it's there (at my cost). Apparently, my window regulator broke while in their possession. Now I have to wait again for parts. Now it's been nearly 3 weeks since I have purchased my car. My patience has worn thin. I called yesterday to check on the status and asked what can be done for the inconvenience they have caused. Chases response was "we're doing you a favor by installing the Bluetooth chip and regulator." Excuse me??!! How are you doing ME a favor? Now I am highly upset. Now I have purchased a new (used) car...newest car I've had...and I've driven it three times and haven't had it for nearly over two weeks, closing in on three weeks. How can this sales consultant truly believe they are doing me a FAVOR??? All I ask is that you correct your wrong by taking ownership of the issue. Nothing has been offered for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused me. I will also be in the market in a few months to purchase my son a car and so far, Young Chevrolet will not be receiving my business. I was even told the general manager, Kory, would return my call today but I have yet to hear from him. This is not a good customer experience!! They are trying to make me feel like I have inconvenienced them but, they are not the ones out of their new car for three weeks. New car honeymoon is over now. Gee thanks for the fun and exciting experience (extremely facetious)! Thanks for NOT making me feel taken care of and like my business actually matters. more

Wow, worst experience ever! 7/16/2013

The same things that were repaired this week were the same things repaired at the shop 1 yr ago...so obviously something isn't getting fixed. -Major repairs and leaks that total 3k should be fixed right the first time. How did it get out on the lot with such a big leak? With the engine cleaned, the leak was masked. Also, the problem I came in for, the hissing AC, was not addressed-I was told it was a normal noise. If I wanted to drive around with a hissing respirator, I would buy one and run it while I drive. I'm told the noise is normal, but it continues to hiss after I shut off the car and I have to keep the radio up to drown out the noise. I'm pretty sure that's not normal. It doesn't matter now. I know the service center is unable to perform the repairs properly, so I have replaced the car. I have a different car, with an extended warranty, but I am questioning the value if I have to come to this service center for the repairs. So, in essence, my vehicle was "ready" when they said it was, but it wasn't READY. I was not satisfied with the service and I believe I should stick with my regular mechanic that has proven his intelligence and integrity after years of quality service. Awful service, awful repair job, awful Acadia. The sales staff was nice enough-but, nice doesn't quite get the job done right. I will find another dealership to do warranty repairs or get rid of my warranty and just go with someone I trust. Edit-just took the "new" used car in for it's first oil change and to address the brake problem they PROMISED to fix before I took it home. I guess I shouldn't be surprised they never fixed the brake rotars as promised. I took it home and they were still warped, so I made sure to request that they get fixed, as promised, when I took it in. (I knew they'd try to pull something, so I told them I only wanted it done if it was going to be covered on good faith...guess they have no integrity) They took off the tires to "diagnose" the problem. they still owe me $1000.RUN more

New Chevy Sonic 3/6/2013

While looking for a new car I thought that I would check out the young chev. store (Layton) from the minute I walked in I was impressed! the first person i meet the lady at the desk was so nice very welcoming. I then was paired up with my sells man "brad taylor" I could tell from the start he was in it for me and totally wanted me to be happy with what ever I needed or wanted. I ended up with the new 2013 Chevy sonic. (that I LOVE) I could tell that the store was closing but Brad took the time too sit in my new car and go over everything tell I felt comfortable. I had a great experience over all and really would give it a 5 Star rating! more

will NEVER buy from them again 11/10/2011

After the purchase we found a discrepancy in the price we had agreed upon with our salesman and the actual price we paid. When I went back in to talk to them about it I received the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The sales managers reply was basically it was in the paperwork, you signed it, were not changing it. There was no attempt at an apology for the misunderstanding, not even an offer for a free oil change or car wash. They only care about fine print and the bottom line. Once they have your money you can kiss customer service goodbye. more

Fixing my Camero 8/5/2011

My camero was over heating as it was already taken to Walts in Clearfield with no success and about a week and a half,i decided to take it to the dealership and in a matter of 4 hours from dropping it off they had everything fixed and the car running great.The service i received was overall exceptional,if i have future problems i will be taking it back. more

Trent...A body that just won't quit 7/1/2011

I purchased a vehicle in 2008 from JD and Trent. JD was alright but Trent was just superb. And that physique! They were reluctant about giving me floor mats, but Trent eventually gave in. They are good people with good hearts...they even employ people with learning disabilities (I think his name is Geoff). Good experience overall. more

fast track 6/16/2011

I came in to have my car serviced and they were so busy I didnt think they would have time to do mine before they closed. Mike the manager came out and personally helped me and told me he would fit my car in and get it done. I was really appreciative of this as I was scheduled to go on a trip the next day! Its nice to be able to go somewhere and be taken care of like that! Most people would turn you away if it was close to closing. Wow guys thats impressive!! Thanks again, Molly M more

GOES DOWN AS ONE OF THE WORSE 2/16/2011

The guy that sold me my car was great but that is where my "Good" experience ended....I bought a vehicle a week ago and it still sits there....The service center is the worst ever....I am so angry at this point! They sold me a car with crap tires....when I couldn't even drive it they say they will pay for one tire and tried to say it only needed one tire but upon further research of my own....you have to replace all 4 or it ruins transmission along with several other issues. It has been a nightmare....they said they patched a tire that had 2 large holes and rips in it and wanted me to drive off in it....The service department never had safety in mind...could care less....I had to find my own tires because they were to big of jerks to do a job right then I was told Ithey would not cover a rental because I chose not to drive a vehicle with potentially deadly factors! Then to top it all off...I am still sitting here with no vehicle and when they finally do put the tires on it....I'm told it is my problem to come up with the money for the tires after paying $20,000 for the vehicle. My salesman has fought for me but it goes to prove...he can only do so much. They did get me a rental at their expense suposedly...$50 bucks charged to my card....the more time that passes with me in a rental while my vehicle sits over there the more angry I get....they should have had good tires on it to begin with....if you buy a vehicle and notice it needs something fixed on it.....make them do it before agreeing to buy it and then hoping they have any integrity more

Awesome Service Department!!!! 2/15/2011

Young Chevrolet has an AWESOME service department! They do a great job on servicing my Buick and my husband's GMC truck! I highly recommend them for all servicing needs. Fast Track has a very courteous staff. I have also used the parts department and have had quick and courteous service for accessories for my vehicles. Kudos to the Young Chevrolet Staff! ***** more

Stay Away!! 1/17/2011

We hated the deal from these crooks so much that we got rid of the vehicle. The finance manager, Tyson, yelled at my wife in front of my 3 small children when we got our refund for the extended warranty. Worst car buying experience ever. more

Young buyers beware! My young son wanted a new car and went to Young Chevrolet in Layton. The salesman promised him all kinds of good things but most important a loan he could live with. They lied! My son was a victim of predatory lending. He was stuck with a loan carrying excessive interest of 33%. When we questioned the loan, the loan officer said it was because of he was a less bankable borrower. The fact of the matter is that the loan officer went directly to the lender with the highest interest rate. When we called the loan officer to discuss the loan, he hung up on us and never called us back. How is that for customer service??? more
