Editorial review from Urbanspoon 8/24/2012

With so many places to order from on SoBe, you would think this long established restaurant would have a reputable food delivery service. \r \r We ordered sushi for two at 6 pm on a Friday night and did not receive our order UNTIL two hours later. \r \r Our condo was only half a mile away. \r \r Needless to say, I won't be calling YOKOs ever again. more

I like this Japanese Restaurant. Its a really nice place to go if you are looking to get away from the typical south beach vibe. \r The food is good as well. I have been here many times and it always hits the spot. The prices are reasonable as well. more

The decor is nice. A little too dark for my taste.\r \r The food is good, people are friendly and FREE parking!!\r \r Parking alone is worth the trip to this wonderful restaurant.\r \r Sushi is good but the savory cooked meals are delicious!! more

Sake Bombs 7/19/2010

Me and my friends love to sake bomb here. The food isn't that great- I've had the chicken teriyaki and it was hard and then some soba noodles which I had to return because I didn't like them. I don't eat sushi so I don't know how that is. My friends have told me the sushi is decent. I usually just drink here and eat before/after. Pros: sake, beer Cons: food more

Editorial review from Urbanspoon 6/27/2010

Unimpressive sushi, priced way too high for the quality. While it is an ok ambience/decor, really not worth going out of your way to eat there. Service was fine, just did not impress. The food was tasteless! more

A taste of Japan in South Beach 7/8/2009

Having lived in Japan for 10 years I find it hard for any Japanese restaurant to emulate the taste and feel of ""old Japan"" but I have found it in Yoko's Restaurant. From the moment you step inside the door until you walk back out the door you are transported back to Japan of yesteryear. The staff, from Izumi, Kyoko, and Hiromi to Suzuki-san make the experience most enjoyable. The food is out of this world, fresh sushi and sashimi to the chicken teriyaki. It is all good. For any Japanophile like myself I would highly recommend it to a newbie to Jpanese food I would say ""ask the staff for recommendations and they will help. more

Great Neighborhood Japanese 8/23/2008

I am a very avid sushi eater, having lived in Japan for 1 year. I eat sushi at least several times per month. Yoko's is my favorite neighborhood sushi restaurant with very fresh sushi, and delicious crispy tempura. The ambiance is very pleasant and the service is consistently good. However, the best thing about the restaurant is the easy parking (hard to find in South Beach!!) and the reasonable prices. Pros: Sushi, Service, Parking more

The best sushi on South Beach! 10/24/2007

I've traveled to many places and eaten Sushi everywhere I could. Yoko's is one of my favorite places to visit. The fish is spectacularly prepared and always fresh. The staff is super friendly. I've eaten there at least once a week for many the past 7 years and never had a bad experience while dining there. Not only is the food great but it is also one of the least expensive Japanese places on South Beach! more

best sushi bar! 8/24/2007

most authentic and freshest fish on the beach! i worked for a chef from tokyo in college and learned alot about japanese cuisine...so trust me on this one! Pros: now open late! Cons: can be a bit busy on fri/sat nights more
