Yojimbos = My kind of bike shop 1/15/2007

This place is very low key and unassuming but rest assured you will be taken care of. I am from out of town and went out of my way to pay Yojimbos a visit- Marcus, the owner is very helpful and eager to talk bikes and didn't mind stopping what he was doing to chat with my girfriend and I. We ogled all of his beatiful wares and bikes before leaving with some new bars (although I could spend a small fortune in there). I was delighted to see a bike shop that caters to the track/fixed community- it's hard to support your local bikeshop when theyr'e stocking gear for the sport roadie and mountain riders only. Another plus- is that since Yojimbos is a one man show you know your baby will be in good hands for repairs. Just remember to give a good knock- there really is a bike shop in there. Pros: Personal Service, Great Selection for Fixed/Track heads- Tax Included w/ Price Cons: I was overwhelmed by selection more

a model for bikeshop service! 6/19/2005

Came in needing a new front tire and some lights. They didn't have a whole lot in stock at the moment for 700cx25 tires, but then it's a common size and I imagine they probably sell a lot. The options given to me were pitched to me in terms of asking MY needs, not shoving features down my throat first to get me to buy something I might not need. I walked away with a sweet Kevlar-reinforced tire and a front and back light and only spent about $62...a good $8 less than I'd expected to pay. These guys are friendly, the cats in the shop are nice touch, all prices marked include tax, and there are discounts for membership in various area bike associations -compounded ones if you belong to multiple. I'd advise anyone looking for a friendly, no-B.S. bikeshop to check out Yojimbo's Garage. Pros: awesome staff, straight-fwd. pricing, good value Cons: weird hours more
