History of Chakales Family Dealerships
The Chakales family has owned and operated several powersports dealerships since the early 1980´s. These dealerships included Kawasaki of San Antonio, Yamaha of San Antonio, Honda of New Braunfels and Polaris Fun Center of Bryan.
Coyote Powersportswas opened in 2012 as a Yamaha branded dealership servicing all makes and models including Polaris, Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki. The owners have owned and operated as a Yamaha dealer, Honda Dealer, Polaris Dealer and Kawasaki Dealer and are knowledgeable of the service requirements for these makes.
Troy Chakales-General Manager Troy has been an enthusiast since a child. His passion for powerpsorts included the Honda Odyssey, Honda Big Red and Yamaha Mini Enduros. Troy started his powersports career as the General Manager of Kawasaki of San Antonio at the age of 19. From 1986-1996 he was the Manager of Kawasaki of Universal City. Realizing the best way to serve customers was as an owner. In 1997, Troy and his brother opened and owned Yamaha of San Antonio. In 1999, they opened 35 North Honda in New Braunfels.In 2005, they sold the dealerships to someone from out of state. In 2009, they opened a new Polaris dealership which was sold in 2010. Troy missed his San Antonio area customers so much he decided to open Coyote Powersports
