Only doing it for money 10/25/2011

I have to wonder about positive reviews I've seen on this vet. What I saw was clearly a shady business after they hit me with a bunch of hidden fees on my recent visit. When I dug around for more information on them from other people, I was horrified to find horror stories of misdiagnosis and unnecessary surgery. I can't trust them to care for my pet when all they see is dollar signs. more

Looking for another VET 10/7/2011

We went there for both a checkup on a new puppy and a nail clipping. The checkup, the Dr. seemed knowlagable but fairly abrupt. The staff seemed nice but the bill was through the roof! it cost almost $300.00 to get him looked at and Glucosamine Tablets and Flea and Tick Treatment. Next visit was for Nail clipping..Over the phone I was quoted 16.50 for nail clipping which I thought to be resonable..but when they were done, they tagged on a 20.00 Nursing fee..so the bill for nail clipping was $37.00...GEEZ!!! I called them back after my wife got home from the Visit and they told me that the 20.00 is normally charged for the nurses time. WHY WAS THAT NOT MENTIONED WHEN I FIRST CALLED????? more

Excellent Veterinary Hospital! 9/22/2011

My family had always taken our pets to Wright's, so naturally, when my husband and I got a dog of our own, we also took our dog to Wright's. The staff is friendly and always greets us as well as our dog warmly. We see Dr. Wright and he always takes the time to love on our dog before beginning the exam. He and the technicians always try to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for our pup! She has never cried when being examined (including while getting shots!), and always seems comfortable and at ease! We are extremely satisfied with the care given to our dog at Wright's Veterinary! more

Not What They Seem 7/21/2011

I have been going to Wright Veterinary Medical Center for a couple of years. I was always happy with their service, until recently. My dog needed two boosters. I called to explain I was having some financial difficulties and asked if I could bring her in just for the boosters. They refused and said she would have to get the full examine. They weren't interested in my situation and offered me no options. When I posted the info on their Facebook page they deleted it and blocked me from accessing it. more

Expensive 11/25/2010

We have had some decent regular well visits but a horrible experience with my dog that had a broken toe. The cast they put on gave her sores then I was asked to pay ALOT to fix the sores. I went to Alpha Vet in Phillipsburg and compared the prices Wright charges with theirs. For example, 140.00 for x-ray at Wrights and at Alpha Vet= 43.00. 80.00 for pills at Wright and 40.00 at Alpha. HIDDEN CHARGES ARE A THING TO WATCH FOR TOO. Nice and knowledgeable staff but overpriced! more

my dog had a lump on his lip that needed to be removed and they were charging too much up front. i asked if they can bill me half the price and they said "no" and i said so if i cant pay the whole price now you wont help me they said yup. unfreakin believeable so i had gone some place else, walbert hospital.they are great they charge 38 bucks only up front and they will work with you. As wrights charges automatic 50 up front what a killer!!! more

Don't Go There 2/18/2009

Horrible experience with my dog who had to have a tumor removed from her lip. Told me to be there at 7:30 a.m. I was a few minutes early and it was cold out and they told me they weren't open yet (very rudely) and that I could wait in the waiting room but couldn't see me for a while. At 8:15, they finally took my dog. Said they would call when done; didn't call until 3:00 pm. Said to pick her up at 4:30. When I got there at 4:30, made me wait until 5:20 to get her and when they gave her to me she was covered in feces. I asked if they had bothered to walk her and no one answered me. Didn't like the place nor the staff. more

Great vet 9/21/2006

I was really pleased with Wright Veterinary. They are reasonable with their prices. I enjoyed it there and so did my dog. I was going to VCA Northside before and they were out for your wallet not your pets welfare. As an animal lover I think that the well being of a pet should come first. more

Wonderful Place for your Pets! 3/24/2006

When my husband and I first started dating he suggested I take my first dog to Wrights. \r \r Several dogs and 15 years later we are still trusting Wright with our much beloved dogs. We live clear on the other side of town now and we still take the time to drive to Wright because we wouldn't want to trust dogs to anyone else. We almost always see Dr. H. Ortiz. He treats our dogs with a lot of care and tenderness. He has seen us through some difficult times and offered much needed advice. Our dogs are on the older side now so their medical needs are increasing. We will always take our little guys to Wright. more

nice vets 10/11/2005

I really like Dr. Wright and the staff here. They were gentle with our cats, especially after one of them ran away from home. They were also very kind and suppportive to a friend who unfortunately had to have her cat put down. Their prices are a bit expensive, but it is worth it for great service to our animals. more
