Woods Concrete Works
Decorative concrete is the process that takes concrete beyond its perceived image as just another utilitarian construction material and transforms it into an attractive, vibrant and innovating medium that may be customized to meet any decor, construction style, pattern, color etc, while still serving its function as an integral part of the building itself such as floors, walls, driveways and patios.
The transformation of concrete into decorative concrete is achieved through the use of a variety of materials that may be applied during the pouring process or after the concrete is cured, these materials and/or systems include but are not limited to stamped concrete, acid staining, decorative overlays, polished concrete, concrete countertops, vertical overlays and more.. Overlays & Toppings
This is a great solution for existing, structurally sound concrete that needs a fresh, new,or decorative appeal. Most overlay projects range from micro toppings that go down as thin as a few sheets of paper,up to 1/2” in thickness. Historically cements applied on top of concrete have been considered a risky procedure,or a short term fix. But with todays polymer based cements combined with some bullet proof preparation techniques that we consider ‘standards’ such as mechanical grinding or shotblasting a floor,we make sure that anything we apply to the concrete is as solid as the concrete itself.
Polish & Staining
We practice all types of concrete staining. Depending on the project, and the condition of the existing concrete,we have a large selection of materials to accomplish the desired look. We can use Acid Stain,Water or or Acetone based stains and dyes, and even more opaque floor stains and colored sealers when needed. The sealers are water or solvent based. All I need to know is what type of look you are going for whether it is a ‘modern’ / ‘contemporary’ look or a more ‘rustic’ appeal. Either way,we can give you the coolest most unique floor if that's what you are looking for!
