Everything you could ask for in a Veterinarian! Dr. Amy is extremely knowledgeable, extremely kind, and for the last 12 years has been a part of our lives, taking care of our young and old animals alike. We drive from downtown Chicago with our pets, and never have regretted the drive. She (and her husband and staff) are quite simply the best!! Meet them just once, and you too will respond with a note in kind! more

THE BEST VET 8/19/2011

I have known Dr. Amy for about 11 years now -- we go back to when she was a new doctor just starting out. I liked her immediately -- her sunny, upbeat disposition won me over. No cold, clinical, hurry-up-to-the-next-patient doctor here! Dr. Amy's practice is based on passion, not profession. There have been several times over the years where her careful, well researched diagnosis/care has saved the day and potentially sidestepped a more expensive, serious condition (we are pet parents to several kitties). We have followed her to her solo practice and would never consider going eIsewhere just for convenience, etc. Dr. Amy is our family physician! more

Excellent Dr and staff 6/23/2011

Dr. Lipin is as caring as she is skillful. She has cared for several of my cats during difficult medical times. She explained everything to me, took her time and provided excellent care and follow up care. During this time if I had questions it was easy to call and get the answers I needed. I will only trust the medical needs of my cats to one person....Dr. Lipin. more

Life saving care! 5/27/2011

My cat, JD, had a very rare form of colon cancer at age 13. Dr. Lipin and her incredible staff performed a 4 hour life changing surgery. JD went on to live until he turned 20. Dr. Lipin's surgical skills and thorough follow up care gave us 7 more years with our sweet boy, JD. I won't trust my animal care to anyone but Dr. Lipin and the great staff at Woodridge. more

Honest & Caring Neighborhood VET 2/5/2011

Dr. Dennis Macchia is a wonderful vet who has been in business for decades. We've had 3 dogs (so far) parade through his practice for preventative vetcare, as well as overnight surgical procedures. He's terrific! However, If you're looking for sugar coated answers, walls decorated with useless pet product advertisement, or a hand holding psyche session on the day you put your dog down,...then don't go here! This vet has a straight forward, no nonsense, back to basics approach to vet care; which may seem a bit ""dry"" to some people. Dr. Macchia is an honest, caring and dedicated professional, who runs his ""family"" veterinary practice with your pets' best interest at heart. more

Been Satisfied for Years 2/19/2008

I've been taking my cats here for many years. The doctor knows what he is doing and seems to be very caring with the animals. The receptionist has been helpful when I've interacted with her. Getting an appointment with them isn't very hard either which is convenient for a person with a busy schedule. I've been happy with their service for over 10 years. Pros: Experienced Vet, easy appointment scheduling Cons: nothing really stands out as being bad. more
