I'm not a disgruntled consumer, nor do I know for sure where responsibility lies - nature vs. nurture. However, I can say that the puppy we had bought ended up with blood in the poops, had an extended abdomen, and required multiple office visits to the vet. The pup was immediately put on TWO de-wormer which was different than what was given by the breeder. The vet said that the de-wormer we had been sent home with ""in case"" to prevent worms was inneffective because it was just an over the counter de-wormer. The sweetheart was given Flagyl for parasites that the vet said was a ""significant"" amount seen in the gastro tract. The little one was confirmed positive for Guardia within two days of coming home. It's been some time and still on a pro-biotic which is suppose to help get his natural stomach flura back in sync, and is on a special diet. The little one has been through so much during a time when pups are suppose to be...pups! Again, I don' t know how much fault lies with the breeder or not, but I feel like we found ourselves with just as many problems or MORE than if we just purchased through a pet store (which I would not do, but you know what I am getting at).
Pros: We love the little one
Cons: Had lots of problems
