Contrary to what others wrote, this restaurant is not that great. Mediocre at best. We were greeted by who I assume was the son based on this being a ""family"" restaurant. Whoever it was was less than enthused.
We picked our table after passing by 3 that still had yet to be cleaned. It was not that busy at the time we went, so this was surprising. The table we finally settled on was still wet from the last wipedown.
The girl was slightly more pleasant and her service was fine except neither was overly friendly. Nobody acknowledged us upon leaving like every other customer before us. Probably others were regulars.
As for the food.. Others have stated how ""reasonable"" the prices are. I find $1.79 for 4 oz. of oj a bit pricey myself, and the total bill of $15 a bit more than for the same food at say Waffle House or IHOP, but that may just be me.
The Belgian waffle I had was doughy in the middle, but at least warm, and at least this restaurant knew how to make grits correctly. Other than that it wasn't anything to write home about.
All in all, it is someplace we won't visit again.
