I love Wilson Camera! They are so 3/13/2012

I love Wilson Camera! They are so friendly here among other great aspects of this company. They have a great selection of product, and they can also print slides! It is so hard to find a place who can print slides from the '70's and '80's now a days. I brought in some slides from the days in my old childhood home in Ohio from the '70's, and had them placed onto a CD. They turned out great! Now that I had slides done, I will definitely be coming here to get pictures developed. I can't beleive someone would go onto cityseach, and bash this fine business. They really ought to be ashamed of themselves. I LOVE THIS PLACE!! and I would reccomend anyone else to go here for their photographic needs. more

(11-11) ANOTHER ""VICTIM"" OF SCOTTSDALE WILSON CAMERA'S UNSCRUPULOUS BUSINESS PRACTICES. WISH I HAD READ THE CONSUMER REVIEWS (NOTED ON THEIR WEB SITE) PRIOR TO PATRONIZING THEIR STORE. PLAN TO SUBMIT A COMPLAINT TO BOTH THE ARIZONA ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION - CONSUMER PROTECTION. more

Very good experience 10/22/2011

I had a very good experience at Wilson Camera. I had purchased a photography workshop that they had offered on one of the discount email services and prior to attending it I realized that my older camera was broken and that I needed either a replacement camera or to get mine fixed. I went into the store and after discussing my options, I decided to purchase a new Canon T2i. Not only did they sit down with me for over an hour and teach me all about this camera (at no extra charge) but they also gave me discounts on the case and memory card and filter for my new purchase! I went to the workshop at Papago park and had such a great time with Rudy and Jerry teaching our small group photography tricks for 3 hours! They were so patient and took the time to help anyone who had questions. I am a shopper at Wilson Camera for life! more

Lie, Cheat, and Steal! 9/16/2011

Jack a customer for $60 bucks? You bet! I went into the store to get an inexpensive tripod. Lauren and owner? Rudy (38 years in the business, trust me!) showed me a couple of tripods. When I asked about a Vivitar (model no. VPT-4867), Rudy looked at it and said, ""Look at the price. It must be used. It has to be on consignment at that price. He and clerk Lauren engaged in a few minutes of theater. The tripod was marked at $59.99. Rudy made a phone call, and then stated, ""That is my cost!"" He assured me that the next time I went into the store, the same item would be listed for $119.00. I decided to purchase the tripod. I was also looking for a wireless remote for a Nikon D3000. Rudy told me that a remote wasn't supported for the D3000, and that I should buy an updated D5100. I plugged it into Google, and learned that the ML-L3 remote was indeed supported by the D3000 I already owned. The ever helpful Lauren grabbed one off the shelf and presented it to me. The Wilson Camera price was $39.95. When I did a web search on my phone, the same item was offered for less than $13 bucks on Amazon dot com I pointed this out to Rudy, and he made a beeline for the door, leaving Lauren to deal with me. I offered $20 bucks so that I didn't have to bother ordering it online. Lauren countered at $25, and I walked out. When I got home, I was so furious that I called the store and told Lauren that I was going to return the tripod. Lauren said, ""Sorry, all sales are final."" When I blew up, she took my number and said she'd call me back. A few minutes later, Lauren called back and said that they would take the tripod back. Returning the tripod is the *last* time I will ever set foot in Wilson Camera. For no reason should you do business with Wilson Camera. They lie and are deceitful. Rudy apparently has not heard of smartphones or Google. The shock on his face when confronted with a competitive price is almost worth a trip into the store. It is fair to make a decent profit, but when a 100% profit is not enough, consumers should steer clear. Oh, and if you are in the market, Walmart and Buy dot come both carry the VPT-4867 for about $23 bucks. If you don't want the Vivitar, run, don't walk, to Best Buy, and some kid with *zero* knowledge about cameras will sell you a nice Sunpak for $44.99 with nicer features. more

Repairing a camera 4/7/2011

I sent my camera for repair. It was a bad experience. They deny the problems involve and mentioned that ""it will be okay"". It was a nightmare as my camera is my favorite toy. Besides that, they are trying to sell me the memory card despite my questions regarding the repair work of my camera. Hence, I do not recommend the camera shop !! Bad bad bad service!! more

Some people are ignorant 1/20/2011

After reading the review from ""excellentconsumer"" I couldn't help but laugh at their ignorance. I am a professional photographer...Canon is my favorite brand...and I know for a fact that Wilson Camera has been an authorized Canon dealer for many years! They also do not sell old merchandise (unless it is used and marked as such). I have been purchasing my Canon products and accessories from the good people at Wilson Camera for many years and the help and attention that they have given me has been invaluable. more

Not the place to buy a camera 12/16/2010

We purchased a Canon digital point and shoot from Wilson Camera on 12/8/2010 for $229.00. We later received a better camera as a gift from one of our children and went to Wilson to get a refund. The employee rudely pointed to the sign on the wall that says ""All Sales Final"" and we were shown the door. We called the nice folks at Canon Cust. Service and they told us that Wilson is not an authorized dealer and they sold us a discontinued item. It was replaced nine months ago by a model that sells for less. more

Great customer service, photographer was excellent, super prices. 8/9/2006

I had to get a quick portrait taken for my business and was very happy to get a same day appt. and very beautiful photos taken by Rudy. I ended up buying a Pentax Optio S6 and absolutely love this camera. Rudy was very helpful in teaching me how to use it also. more
