Save your time and your money. My service still is on a temporary service and hasn't been connected like promised. It's been on temporary for over 2 years. No one follows up on the work to make sure it was done correctly. more

I called in to ask about some work and spoke with the owner. All I got was a big attitude. Other friends have had work done by William Hyman Electric and were unhappy with their work. This is NOT a company you should do business with. more

Mr. Hyman handled our initial call and said they did a fair amount of this sort of trouble shooting, he explained what his techs would do and what the alternatives would be if the problems were uncorrectable. His men showed up on time and went to work promptly. They were careful to explain what they would do and were very clear as to the cost for opening up each electrical box in attempting to find the problems. Within three hours they had found all the problems and corrected them including replacing defective devices, rewiring as needed and tracing wiring through the house. We did not expect this to be cheap since there was no way to figure out the nature of the problems or where and how extensive they were without actually doing the work. I doubt we could have rewired and replaced these circuits for anywhere near what this cost in the end. The two men worked well together, were very polite and open to questions. They insisted on cleaning up the areas they worked in and left the house in better shape than when they arrived. more

We have an older house (1960's) and wanted to have the fuse box replaced with new circuit breakers as well as a heavy up performed to allow us to have additional power brought in. Hyman Electric showed up on time for the estimate, and while a bit higher than a few of the others, they were thorough professional and better suited for the project. They worked around our schedule to pick a date for the service, showed up on time and were very professional! (It rained while they were working outside on the new lines and they got soaked! When they came back into our house, they put down tarps and removed their shoes to prevent our carpets from getting dirty! I am a picky person so this was a big plus for me!!). They removed the old panel box and fuses and installed new circuit breakers and new ground lines. They finished in a timely manner and well within their estimate. I would certainly recommend them for heavy up service. In fact, we are thinking of adding some additional recessed lighting into our living room and we will most certainly use them again! Good: They did arrive on time.. Bad: Incomplete work, the mess they left, ridiculous prices.. Improvements: They should finish the projects they signed up for, clean up after themselves, and charge fair prices.. more

I called Hyman Electric because they specialize in old house electrical systems. We had a unusual problem with the lights and outlets in part of the house. They arrived at the time they had given and quickly and efficiently worked until the problem was solved. We have since called them back to upgrade wiring and lighting as we have been remodeling the various areas and could not have been happier with the service from Hyman Electric. more
