Best

The VW Beetle convertible I bought from Wildwood in 2009 has far exceeded my expectations, (especially having come from a Porsche.)

Worst

I traveled over an hour to view/purchase a car from Wildwood Motors. I wish I hadn't. My own mistake was trusting in these guys. Based on the previous reviews and overall feeling ...

Dec. 25, 2012 i have a car from Wildwood. Has low miles, looks good however it's falling apart. Called owner he ran me around n then was just rude. The price was right but it's better to buy from a large dealer than WILDWOOD MOTORS. At least a big dealer stands behind their cars, this guy just runs away from problems. Don't be stupid like me. We thought we checked him out. :(. \r Dec 14, 2013 spent $1700 on leaking sunroof/found out in less than a month, $500 dry rotted tires, engine lite on $1400 2nd month. New ignition, replaced fan. This DEALER will not help they just run you around. On line they said I hung up on them ... No way. I documented everything n have all the faxes I sent them. Car has 49,010 miles. VW 2008 more

The BEST experience I have EVER had in buying a car. Honest, Fair and competitive pricing. Used cars have never been more reliable, so buyers looking have never had it so good. Wildwood Motors carries a wide range for anyones budget. Finding a good affordable used cars can be a challenge as some dealers. \r A dealer that making a difference on a honest deal! more

Searched the internet to shop all the dealers and find the best deal. Found the truck I wanted at Wildwood Motors and gave them a call. They had one of the best prices. Looked at a couple others but the best deal was still at Wildwood. They had it safety and emissioned for me before sale and it is a terrific truck. Very happy. more

Fantastic experience!! I want to share my recent purchase of a used car from Wildwood Motors. I am a single parent of a teenage son who was in need of a reliable car to be able to commute to and from college. In the past I would have feared buying a used car. However, when dealing with Mark and his employees, I feel that I have definitely made the right decision. They were very honest and followed through on everything they promised, from the financing to the moment we drove the car off the lot. They still continue to follow through on the transaction to make sure we are happy. I highly recommend Wildwood Motors!! more

I wouldn't wish what happened to me on ANYONE! It was a huge mess to arrive at some agreement (with the help of the attorney general's office, consulting a lawyer, among others) on the vehicle I purchased. Even though the sale was never officially completed, they absolutely refused to give me a refund. I would have taken them to small claims court but the price of the car was above the small claims limit. The owner has a lawyer in his back pocket that he isn't afraid to throw around. I'm not the kind of person who can afford to sue, but the owner certainly is. \r Especially if you are a woman, STAY AWAY!!! They see you coming and get the guilt trips out of the sales closet. \r \r Wildwood Motors forced me into ""resolving"" my issue logged with the BBB. I ended up losing well over $1,000 in dealing with these crooks. There are other reputable dealerships in the area! Check MO casenet to see how many lawsuits have been filed against the owner...\r P.S. Any dealership that will not let you have a used car inspected by your own mechanic - RUN FAST! \r \r If you enjoy purchasing cars and yelling at people, go ahead. But for the rest for us who dread purchasing cars, Wildwood Motors is your nightmare. \r Just stay away. It makes me sad to think about the bottom feeders who prey off other people. \r more

Biggest Mistake 4/12/2011

I traveled over an hour to view/purchase a car from Wildwood Motors. I wish I hadn't. My own mistake was trusting in these guys. Based on the previous reviews and overall feeling I got from talking to them, I let my guard down and ended buying a vehicle I shouldn't have. I spent over $400 of my own money on car repairs within the first couple days of owning it. I still have hundreds more to spend if I want it in the condition I actually thought it was at time of purchase. I asked several times if there were any known issues with the car and I was always assure that no, there were none. It was untrue and they knew it, because my salesman told me he personally drove the car at least twice. They did not act like they cared about the issues with the car, rarely ever returned my many phone calls, and made me feel like my car, my problem, rather than a valued customer. I learned an expensive lesson buying from them and now all I can really do is discourage others! more

Bought A Great Looking / Driving Audi 2/16/2011

I must say I am pleased with my 2008 Audi A-4 . The car is clean, they put new brakes on it before the sale and had it checked out thoroughly. I am happy with my experience. This is my second used car I bought from Wildwood Motors- my son is still driving his 1998 Gran Prix we bought over 6 years ago. Good car! Check them out- good inventory. more

I have bought 3 cars from Wildwood motors and trust them 2/14/2011

I have bought a Chevy Cavelier, a Pontiac Sunfire...oooh I liked that one. And a Ponticac G6. I have never had to have any service other than my car inspection every year. They know how to pick cars at this place. I personally am not a used car person, but I have found that you can buy a perfectly good car that someone has used for a short time and pay considerably less. I have had perfectly good cars and have saved alot of money this past 17 years. more

Great experence 2/10/2011

Looked at all the VW dealers,I could not find a late model VW anywhere in my price range. I found a car on Craigslist that would be perfect if it was the real price, I contacted them thru e-mail and they responded quickly. The dealer informed me the car was there and available, I went out to see it 2days later and it was the car I saw online. I drove it and had it checked out by a local shop, it passed with only 1 minor thing to be fixed, they did fix it and we made the deal the next day. They took great care of me and were very easy to work with. more

Good Service 2/3/2011

I was looking for a pre-owned late model car and had heard about this small car dealer in Wildwood. I had interest in a couple of models and talked to the staff about what I was looking for. Within a few days, they were back in touch with me about a couple of options. I decided to look at and test drive a 2008 Audi. It was reasonably priced in comparison to other late models I had researched and I went ahead with the purchase. I have been very pleased with the car. There were a few touchups that needed to be done to the wheel rims as could be expected with any pre-owned car. The wheel rims were touched up and looking good when I picked up the car. This was a good experience and I am enjoying the car. more

Stay Away From Wildwood Motors! These guys are crooks! 11/26/2010

I found a car that I loved on their, and it seemed to be a reasonable price so I went and took a look at it. It had a couple of ""minor issues"" that they said were ""an easy fix"". The car had a broken side mirror, and an airbag light was on. I put down a down payment on the car, with the agreement that when I picked the car up and made my final payment all the ""minor issues"" would be fixed. They were going to take it to ""their dealer"" and have it fixed. I made my downpayment on a Thursday and they told me I could pick the car up the following Tuesday. I called Tuesday and they told me it wouldn't be ready until Friday. When they finally told me I could pick the car up, the mirror appeared to be fixed, and they assured me that all the other issues had been resolved. I wrote out my check and left with the car. On the car ride home, the check engine light came on, as well as the air bag light. They had not fixed anything. I took it to my usual mechanic, and they did end up being simple fixes. About a week later, my mirror broke again. It turns out that ""their dealer"", had superglued my mirror. When I called to discuss my complaints with them, they got defensive and kept giving my the runaround. I decided to fix everything myself, because they really were cheap fixes. I love my car now, but I wish I would have listened to other reviews I had read on these guys. I would never recommend Wildwood Motors to anyone! Steer clear of these guys. Guys like these are reasons salesmen get a bad rep! more

Terrible Experience. Would NEVER recommend. 4/19/2010

Well, I accepted the car under the condition it would pass emissions (quite easily, they said, haha!) and the car ended up being a total mess, for example, let's just say that the dealer had someone work inside the dash, and during the unraveling of problems, I discovered that the dashboard was held together with a wooden screw... Needless to say, I asked for my money back and returned the car, but have not heard ANYTHING from them, and they have not responded to the Better Business Bureau or the Attorney General, and they still have the car and all of my money (the check was cashed right away, although the sale was not complete). STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!! A quick search on MO casenet showed over 250 lawsuits related to this business. Watch out! Pros: Other dealers are in the area. Cons: I have to assign one star (instead of zero) to their rating more
