Overpriced Mediocre Food 1/11/2009

First, let me say that I used to love Wildflower; previously, I had enjoyed the intimate atmosphere, the decor, the prompt service, and especially the food. My husband took me to Wild Flour for my birthday (in December), but I?m sorry to say that we were both greatly disappointed.\r \r I ordered the prime rib, and my husband ordered the salmon. My prime rib was good (not extraordinary); it was cooked as I asked for it, but my vegetables were not cooked thoroughly, nor was my ?potato casserole,? which was nothing more than a loaded baked potato. It was filled with sour cream and bacon (both of which I do not eat) and stale shredded cheese. The cheese was hard and had a moldy smell---honestly, the smell was overpowering and made me sick to my stomach. Thus, I sent the potato back for a plain one with butter, and I received one, although it was not thoroughly cooked either. After this, our waiter rarely checked on us again, and we eventually had to ask another waiter for our ticket.\r \r My husband?s meal was also less than desirable. He said that the salmon was ?pretty good? but that it was overpriced. He was also disappointed with the scant amount of vegetables on his plate.\r \r It seems that the bread and butter, once my favorite thing about Wildflower, has undergone a change. Formerly, the bread was brought out warm and fresh; in addition, the herbs used in the bread made it absolutely delicious. However, it tasted like it had been left over from lunch, and it seemed to have few herbs at all. The butter was virtually tasteless and did little to enhance the bread.\r \r Not only did we spend an amount of money that is approximately our budget for one week?s worth of groceries, but we were also there for an incredibly long time?an hour and a half.\r \r I sent Wildflower a complaint letter, but I never received a response. I can only assume that they are not concerned with customers' dissatisfaction.\r \r I would not waste my time or money going here! Pros: Ambience Cons: Food, service, lack of concern customer satisfaction more
