WhiteGlove House Call Health

I used White Glove for the first time this month and it was wonderful. They came to my workplace to treat me and was able to give me medication to help me start feeling better quick. The nurse that came out was very nice and followed up with me the next day to make sure I was feeling better. My company offers this as a benefit and it is wonderful. I would highly recommend it to everyone. They even bring a ""get well"" package for you with liquids, soups, etc. Really terrific concept! more

I guess doctors do make house calls (or office calls) again. WhiteGlove allowed me to get medical attention in the office at my convenience without spending half of my day going to the doctor's office (and waiting) then driving to the pharmacy (and waiting) for my prescriptions. Dr. BR was professional, friendly and easy to talk to. My WhiteGlove experience was excellent. I highly recommend this service. more

The WhiteGlove House Call program is such a brilliant alternate to office visits. I called them one morning because my throat and body were aching so bad, I couldn't get out of bed. Within 2 hours, I was seen by Lori. She was actually early for my 10:00 am appointment. I gave her my symptoms and she pulled out the right tests. She was very tidy, organized and professional. She gave me a care bag that consisted of fluids, soups, crackers and lots of over-the-counter items, such as tissues, cough drops, advil. She was able to give me 3 days worth of medication on the spot and assured me I would get the rest in the mail and I did within 2 days. \r \r Not only was I able to see someone right away, but to have the convenience of them coming to you and bringing you medicine, is so much preferable than you going to them. I came to work after being taken a couple of days off .. wouldn't you know it.. I felt sick.. headache, sore throat, congested, weak.. and tought I can't call in or take another day.. besides the Dr. may not see me or have to squeeze me in which could take hours. I was already feeling horrible. I also had a special B'day party to attend that weekend and didn't want to be contagious. I remembered ""while glove"" office calls.. Well I made that phone call and was very impressed by the timelyness, professionalism, courteious staff and care .. I almost didn't belive it.. It was nothing serious, Thank God and I was able to stay at work, attend the B'day party and most of all,.. secure in knowing It was just a virus. The best part was the overcoutner meds and gift bag. It remeinded me of how my mohter used to care for me. I told everyone in my office how wonderful this experiencece was. They were awed like me. more

It is fantastic that house calls are an option! Whiteglove service was prompt, professional, and very helpful. I do not know what my family would do without the service. They were very kind and gave excellent medical advice. They came to my work and home and made follow-up calls. What doctor's office does that now days? Great idea and service. I found it to be a plus: quick, convenient, and thought that the service matched the price point! It is almost reminiscent of the dr. calls from many years ago; all you do is go on-line or call and its easy to schedule an appt. Although my initial call resulted in a scheduling conflict, it was immediatly resolved. I can see this as a super advantage for working parents who can't schedule a drs. appointment to match school/work schedules, or for a busy employee who just can't get away long enough to schedule an appointment and leave work for hours at a time. I was away from my desk all of 20 minutes! Pros: thumbs up! Cons: can't think of anything more

\r I had been sick for eight weeks and than I heard about it at work and so I called and the doctor came out to see me at my dads house since I had to take him supper. He was earlier than the appt. time and was a very personal person and caring. He was'nt rushing through anything and took his time, ran test, and made you feel like he really cared what was wrong with you and how to make you feel better. He had my three days worth of prescriptions and the other seven days worth of prescriptions came in the mail Thursday morning. He gave me the goodie bag and he explained everything very clearly and emailed my work excuse to my office and wrote down all instructions and left phone numbers to get in contact with them. \r The next morning the office staff called and was checking on me and asked if I needed anything and was very caring. \r Every person I dealt with at this company was a very caring and helpful person. I did not think there would ever be a service like this again. When I was very young we actually had a doctor come to our house to examine us but there has been nothing like that since. I was sick with a stuffy head with pressure and coughing and none stop blowing of my nose last week and I let it go on for several days. Finally last Wednesday I saw the paper from Humana describing White Glove and I figured why not. I gave them a call and within 2 hours there was a Nurse Practioner at my place of business. She examined me and gave me a 3 day supply of anibiotic and some nose spray. It was all done in my office in about half an hour. What a concept. It is the best idea and service from an insurance company that I have ever been associated with. Fantastic! more

This is a wonderful idea! When you're sick you are able to stay home instead of getting up and dragging yourself down to a waiting room and sitting for hours waiting to be seen by a Doctor. It's nice to see that there is some outside the box thinking by Humana to address member's needs. Strongly recommend! more

Lets face it, when you get sick what is the last thing you want to do???? Take a shower get dressed and drive to see a doctor. Whats worse if your sick and your doctor is not in or it is the weekend. Well have no fear White Glove is here!!! I am 31 years old and I am a working mother, I hate waiting in clinics and When White Glove came around...well it was the answer to my prayers. Ok you might need to sit down for this one.... A doctor comes in a car to your house or place of employment, brings you a bag with 2 cans of soup a box of crackers, cough drops, tylenol, advil, gaterade etc...... He/She checks all your vitals and give youa diagnosis the Doctor will have antibiotics in their car all ready for you or they will call it in to your pharmacy and pick it up for you!!!!! They treat all sorts of illnesses from Nausea, minor burns,minor skin unfections, insect bites to bronchitis, sore throat, common colds and sinus infection...and MUCH MUCH more. I know I sound like a commercial but I am sooooo very excited about this new program I just want the whole world to know. ""Doctor's House Calls"" its just what the doctor ordered. I thought that was just in the movies or if you did have a doctor come and see you it would cost thousands of dollars but no not if your a humana member it is only your $35 co pay and nothing more. Everyone should get on humana!! Pros: they work for 8-8 7 days a week! No running around, fewer interruptions at work no worries about who will watch your kids Cons: NONE!!!!!! more

Times are tough. My daughter was sick and it was Sat. morning. I did not want to take her to the ER and wait forever and get stuck with a big medical bill I can not afford. I am a single mom with two children. Anyways, I called WhiteGlove and what an amazing experience. They arrived at the house within 2 hours (and early) and took care of my daughter. Give her the meds she needed on the spot and left a bag full of waters, juices, kleenex, cough drops, and much more. And it all cost $35 for the visit and Humana pays for the membership. It is an amazing service that I would recommend to everyone! Pros: Affordable healthcare made easy! more

This was an unbelievable experience. I couldn't get in to see my usual Doctor. I called to set an appointment with White Glove. They took my info on the phone and had a doctor to my office within two hours. He did a through exam, left me with some meds, a script, and some soup and other nutritional goodies. I felt better just because I was treated with such dignity and importance. Pros: They come to you .... quickly. more

I used their service on Jan 21st, and it was GREAT! i had a terrible migraine, and could not drive myself to the doctors office, so this service was perfect for me! The PA came to my house within an hour of me calling, she was great, very helpful in trying to figure out the best way to combat my headache. I have recommended their service to all of my friends! I am so happy that I became a member of WhiteGlove. I'll never get routine medical care any other way that is for sure. WhiteGlove membership is very affordable and their visit fee is only $35, I've been paying $40 for a regular doctor visit and having to wait an hour if I can even get an apointment the same day, never again! WhiteGlove comes to you, a good old fashioned house call. Someone has finally figured out how to make routine healthcare affordable, I mean who can't afford $35 a month for membership? So, not only did they come to my house when I was sick but they brought me a care package full of soups, crackers, gatorade, gingerale, kleenex, packets of advil and tylenol, and other things that I would need to get better. And, it that weren't enough, the nurse practitioner prescribed an antibiotic and delivered it to me and I didn't have to pay any extra. I was skeptical about the WhiteGlove service, just sounded too good to be be true, but not any more. I expect everyone in San Antonio will become members, they'd be crazy not too, what a great concept and so long overdue. Pros: Comes to you, brings lots of stuff you need to get better. more

I have friends in Austin and Dallas that told me about WhiteGlove, everyone loves their services. So, I signed up now that they are in San Antonio. Had a visit yesterday and let me tell you it couldn't have been better. This is the ultimate in routine medical care! It's like joining a health club, I guess you could call it a healthcare club :). Membership is just $35 a month for one person or they also have family memberships. Once you are a member you only pay $35 for each visit and they come to you! A very professional doctor came to my house and took care of me, he also brought a bag of everything I would need to get better, cans of chicken soup, crackers, vitamin water, gatorade, gingerale, cough drops, tylenol, kleenex, the list goes on and on! Oh, and they even brought me a magazine to read. I can't say enough good things about this service, they will come to see you at work or at home, 7 days a week, from 8am to 8pm. My doctor was certainly never available like that. In the past when I was really sick, always seemed to happen on the weekends, I would go to the urgent care center and had to pay a fortune and wait for hours, not to mention being around a lot of sick people - never again now that I have WhiteGlove!
