Tires and shocks..... 9/13/2011

I have been going to Wheel Works on Winfield in San Jose for the past 10 years. They are always courteous and professional. John their manager is extremely knowledgeable and helpfull in providing me with information regarding tires and shocks that a novice like myself does'nt understand. I had contacted my Toyota dealership regarding pricing on replacement of shocks and found Wheel Works to be considerably less expensive for a far superior shock than the dealership was offering. Ask for John, he will do right by you..... more

Horrible experience and rip off!!! 1/6/2011

Horrible experience!!!! I visited the Winfield Boulevard location with the intent of replacing all four tires for my Range Rover and was planning to bring my BMW in to potentially replace two tires. After receiving the initial estimate for the Range Rover tires, which was the most expensive tire with no other options, the guy at the front desk became a jerk and unprofessional when I indicated I would need to think about the purchase and look around a little more. In fact, when I asked for my keys back, they were thrown to me. The guy was a complete jerk and lacked any kind of customer service. I spoke to the manager who listened to the complaint and said he would call back, but of course no call back. A few days later, I visited Wheel Works on Prospect where the customer service was excellent and in fact, I was able to purchase tires for half the overall price that Winfield Boulevard location was planning to charge me. I would never go back to Winfield location again. Horrible more

DO NOT HAVE YOUR TIRES DONE HERE! 1/1/2011

I took my car to the WINFIELD shop (FOR OVER 3 HOURS) to have my tires balanced, rotated, and a wheel alignment after a small fender bender to my left front.After all that AND 3 BRAND NEW TIRES,(one I had recently replaced),I had to take it back AFTER 3 DAYS for ""shaking"" on the front left.ANOTHER 3 HOURS FOR BALANCING A TIRE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE THE FIRST TIME.I ALSO WAS CHARGED FOR IT! 2 days later,a tire went flat.No visible damage,but EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT for me (senior citizen) to find someone to put on my spare and take it back FOR ANOTHER 3-4 HOURS!My brother-in-law said it looked like the tire wasn't properly sealed,and leaked air.Luckily,my daughter was able to drop it off, AND WALKED IN THE FREEZING COLD TO THE MALL with her 2 boys,3 &6, to kill time.TODAY IS NEW YEARS DAY AND I HAVE ANOTHER FLAT TIRE !I expect when i call tomorrow, it will be ANOTHER 3 OR SO HOURS, ETC.I have to work tomorrow,and now I will be late because of these damn tires that keep going flat.DO NOT DO ANY TIRE BUSINESS HERE! BEING A ""GIRL"", I'M EVEN SKETCHY THAT THE BALANCING AND ALIGNMENT WAS DONE CORRECTLY....MY FRONT END STILL HAS A SHAKE!!!!! more

I went to Tires Service By Wheel Works last year to get some tires and was happy with their services. They were very quick and efficient and the prices were reasonable too. more
