Excellent auto repair shop in Ley Largo 6/14/2014

On our way home from a week vacation in islamorada, our altenator went out. We quickly googled closest auto repair shop and were fortunate to speak to Mark at Wheaton's. Within 1/2 hour, Mark and his shop located a new alternator. We walked across the highway to get subs at publix and by the time we returned, Mark and his crew had us back on the road home. We took a photo of their phone number and posted it so everyone knows where to go if they have car trouble in the keys. Thanks Wheatons! more

Worst place to get your car fixed!! 3/5/2012

Never go to this place!!!!! They will rip your wallet off!!! Took my car just for an inspection (overheating) problem well they wanted to change this stuff to my car water pump, timing belt, radiator fan, plus labor ok they made some other stuff, they wanted to charge me about $1,000 to do all that i knew the timing belt was in good conditions so water pump was the only thing that needed to be replaced so they charged me more than $60 for the checkin part. I bought the waterpump online @ rockauto.com did the job myself and i spent only $63 dollars to change only the water pump!!! So if you want someone to steal ur money in the daylight wheatons key largo is the right place!!! Believe me it is!! more

Wheaton's Svc Ctr is world class 9/14/2009

I lived here in Key Largo for 5 years now. I asked friends where to go and they steered me here. Yeah, they are good. I have 150,000 miles on my Toyota Camry. This is the second time I've had to bring it to a shop. This is my first visit here. Air conditioner broke. I know something about cars, and they walked me through the whole process. They did only what was needed. Honesty is what impressed me here. Yeap, damn good people! You'll see. Bill more

Wheaton's Service Center 5/8/2009

If your car clunks out while you are in the Keys, go snorkeling and let Wheaton's repair your car. They have towing services, do most repairs the same day and will refer you to the proper source if it is a repair they do not handle. They can replace distributors, do tune ups, sell tires, fix air conditioners, solve electrical problems, etc. They do not do body work. Their prices are reasonable and their mechanics are well qualified. They stand behind their work and if something is not repaired properly, will do the second repair for free. more
