Western Truck School, founded in 1977, offers training programs in heavy-duty tractor and trailer driving. Its training programs cover a combination of highway, city and heavy traffic driving. The school also provides training in backing, safety and emergency procedures. It utilizes a television-based, self-documenting safety training system for heavy truck drivers. The school also provides a training and certification program for forklift operation that is recognized by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Additionally, it offers training programs required to pass the commercial driver's license examination. The school has branches throughout California, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.
