My response is to Jim A. I was your sales person at West Valley when you ordered your vest and when it came in. You were given the courtesy of being put on our delayed payment log to take your vest and pay us for it after you got your reimbursement from your department so as not to be out of pocket for the price of your vest. When you left a message on our voice mail, I called you back and left a message on your voicemail giving you my PERSONAL CELL PHONE NUMBER so that you didn't have to use the store number to pay for your vest. THAT'S called customer service. There is not another uniform store in the valley that will let you take your vest without payment. AND, when you finally did pay for your vest, it was put on a Discover card. Why bother putting it on delayed payment when you put it on a credit card anyway?\r \r As for the customers bellied up to the counter and the phone ringing and not being answered...you answered your own complaint. How would you feel, as a customer at the counter, if your sales person turned his/her back to you to answer the phone? The voice mail system works well. The only calls that aren't returned are those that are muffled and we cant understand the message...or in some cases, no name and number left to call back.\r \r The store has had a good 18 year run and, sadly, is closing soon as the owners are retiring. As an employee there, I would like to thank all of the long standing customers who shopped at the store. It has been a pleasure serving you with the best customer service we could give with the highest professionalism we could offer.\r \r Thank you again. more

My experience shopping at West Valley Uniforms was great. I was helped by a lady who knew just what I was looking for. Everyone I saw in the store was being helped and the alterations were done just like I requested. I would recommend West Valley to any officer who wants good service and professionalism. more

My complaint is the extremely slow customer service. The half dozen or times I've been forced to go there it's the same thing, numerous customers bellied up to the counter and no where enough employees to handle the rush. The other issues revolve around their lack of answering phones, which is next to zero. So when you leave a message forget about it, there will be NO call back on the message you leave, your message must go into some black hole of unreturned phone messages at west valley. I wonder why they even have a phone there, they could save the money on monthly phone bills and used it to hire employees to assist customers. more

Excellent service for those that don't think they are owed something. The place conducts business in a professional manner, and does what it can to assist. I have dealt with this store for 10 years and never had a problem. Definitely will continue to do business with them. more

I was referred to this place by a 4/21/2012

I was referred to this place by a friend to get my husbands uniform patches done. I went in and right of the back the lady was rude and I felt like she talked down to me. Being uniform place you would think they would have posters or know where patches go. Wrong! My husband even wrote down where the patches went and neither of the ladies understood. Very rude and disrespectful service! I will never go there again! more

Great Experience... 7/10/2011

I was actually hesitant about going to West Valley Uniforms after reading some of the comments. Maybe some reviewers were having a bad day because my experience was a really good one. I was heartily greeted at the door and every employee made it a point to ask if I needed assistance. Very polite, very helpful and professional. Huge selection of the stuff I needed to get (pants, gloves, boots, etc.). I will definitely be a returning customer. more

Horrible Service - Avoid 2/15/2010

Spoke with Deb today... she was very rude and very snappy with answers. If you ever have to deal with Deb, run run and run faster. She is the perfect example of horrible customer service. If I have to deal with her again, I'll leave the store or hang the phone up immediately. You'd think the service would be much higher considering the type of customers they deal with? Pros: selection is pretty good Cons: horrible customer service, very rude. more

West Valley Uniforms takes the extra step to take care of your needs 10/1/2008

Everytime I have needed something taken care of in a pinch, I always go to West Valley Uniforms. They will try to do anything they can to get you prepared for an oral board or funeral. I have had to use them for both.\r Working with the honor guards as often as I do, I am amazed at how many deceased officers have been given uniforms from West Valley to wear for their own funeral. One parent wanted a new nametag for his son, and West Valley jumped through the hoops and made sure he had on a new one at the funeral.\r I like seeing they offer more than just uniforms; they actually care for the community. Pros: good service, caring people, take extra steps to help you out, great uniform selection Cons: sometimes they are very busy more

Useless ""assistance"" 2/25/2008

I placed an order for a hat badge on 17 December 2007. I attempted to call 4 times to check on the status of the badge. I spoke with someone once. They told me I would be contacted the following Monday. Yep, you guessed it. No call. I finally got a call on 25 February 2008, ASKING me if I wanted them to order the badge. Odd. You cannot order one without paying for it first. Just over $60 in December, and they want to place the order for it in February? Don't shop here. Go ANYWHERE else! Pros: They have selected uniforms Cons: They may order one for you if they think about it or remember it. more

Know exact item you need before buying it. 5/25/2007

Caveat Emptor! I paid over $190 for uniform pants. They delivered wrong pants and stated that they weren't told that 4 months before these pants were deleted from allowed clothing items. It's my fault for not knowing the 5 digit model number for the appropriate pants, but who does? I trusted them to know. I've shopped from their store since they opened, but never again. They can keep the $190, I'll take the thousands Ive spent on uniforms to their competitors next time. more

First impression with staff was very pleasant. 5/11/2007

Called them for a quote on a major re-patching of uniforms. Deb was very professional and attentive to our request. We will expect the bid quite quickly. more
