I have known Mary Ellen Sanok for many years but only recently had the opportunity to interact with her as a nurse. In addition to being a Nurse Practitioner, she is also one of the school nurses in the Traverse City Area Public Schools. My son has a severe nut allergy and so Mary Ellen called me prior to the start of school to formulate a care plan for his school. I felt she was very efficient in calling me, finding out the circumstances, checking in with his doctor and then relaying the protocol to the principal, secretary and others at the school. She was able to help implement a program which has helped insure that the school is a safe environment for my son.
