Werner's Master Tek

My daughter's car would not start and was over 15 miles away from where we normally, took it for service. Werner's was recommended by a business acquaintance. We had it towed there, I told the tow operator it was probably the starter. When I arrived at Werner's I told them I thought it was the starter. When the mechanic called me I asked if he had checked the starter. He had not. He told me it needed a tune-up, for about 370.00. When I questioned again about the starter he repeated it needed a tune-up. I agreed. The following day after performing the work he called to say that he checked and it now needed a starter for approx. 300.00. So now my bill was 773.00 including an 85.00 tow charge. After I cooled off I called to say I didn't appreciate how they refused to check the starter until after the tune-up was done. Would they discount the charges ? I was told they would reduce the charge by$100.00. I go to pay and see that all they did was remove the 100.00 diagnostic fee. When I originally signed paperwork I was told the fee would not be charged if they performed the work. So not only did they take advantage once, they did it a second time. How can I assume they did anything i was told. I would never recommend this place. more

I have been a customer of Werner's Mastertek for 11 or 12 years now. I have always been pleased first of all with their honesty, and secondly, that they do a good job fixing things that need to be repaired. I feel confident that they don't try to sell me something that I don't need in terms of the work they do on the car. I am also pretty confident that whatever work they are doing will be done well the first time. Sometimes it takes a little time to get the car back, but in terms of the work, I am pleased with what they do. If you take your car to Werner's, you can trust them to be honest and to do what your car needs, not something it doesn't. You can also rely on the fact that they are going to do a good job. more

Although they specialize in German made cars ? Werner?s Master Tek works on everything! They have taken GREAT care of my Chevy Truck. Their prices are competitive or even better than some shops and way better than a dealer. more

I have been using Werner's for five years. I have never had to have any thing redone. The are more expensive than Goodyear, but are well worth the extra cost. I have four vehicles that are regularly serviceed by them. Kudos to Werner's for a Good job. more

I have been using Werner's Mastertek for 5 years now. In fact, I was in there today for my 30k mile check. They have provided all of the service for my Toyota Sienna in 5k mile increments, so I have been there 5 times since I bought it. My previous vehicle was an older used car, and I was actually referred to Werner's Mastertek by the person who sold it to me. I was especially impressed by their comfort when talking to me about what I could afford. In talking to them, we determined it was not worth trying to keep the used car in new condition, but he allowed me to keep going to them for service long after they had supposed the car needed to be replaced. And, a lot of the parts wore out sooner than most people would experience because the car had been used commercially to haul loads before I got it. So, I was really happy to do business with them. Also, by accurately forecasting what was going to go wrong, they allowed me to budget for my repair bills, which is importante. Besides that, they have also been very clear about how long my car was going need to be in repairs, so I could plan either a good book or a short story to read depending on how long the repairs would take. Longterm, I have saved both money and time with them, and my time is very valuable to me. They have always treated me with supreme courtesy. I am disabled, and they have factored that into scheduling my appointment times. That was something that has been a problem for me with other mechanic shops, but Werner's has been very accommodating. I had a car that I had taken again and again to the dealer because it was under warranty. The dealer told me that I was a stupid girl and basically didn't know what I was talking about. When I took it to Werner's Mastertek, they took me seriously. Mastertek told me that all the things that were wrong with my car that the dealer didn't catch meant the car was too broken to fix. They helped me find a good home for the old car, a technical college I could donate it to, and then they vetted out my new car to make sure it was a good thing to buy. I would want to tell a potential customer of Mastertek that they listen to you to resolve your problem instead of presuming to know. I live on the entirely opposite side of Denver from Mastertek and am happy to make the drive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other people. more

The staff at Werner's Mastertek were so friendly and informative. The service manager and the techs really know what they are doing. Their pricing is very affordable and I will be taking my vehicle back for oil changes to transmission service. I will definately recommend Werner's to my friends, family and co-workers. Avoid this shop after having my car for two weeks they installed the wrong timing belt and incorrectly timed the fuel injection pump.Chris their service guy has no knowledge of diesel engines, by going online in two weeks I was able to diagnose and fix several problems they left me with. They did not reconnect the solenoid to the air intake making the turbo useless fortunately with the help of relatives I fixed this..STAY AWAY THEY OVERCHARGE AND DON'T FIX ANY THING CORRECTLY!!! more

My audi broke down while I was visiting friends in Denver. Found Werner's on line, since there were no Audi dealerships on that side of town.. They identified the problem ( fuel pump) right away. Since I had to return to Vegas in 2 days, they completed the repair in 24 hours, and gave me a rental for $10. The cost was more than fair. I will NEVER go to a dealer again! Will you guys open a shop in Vegas, PLEEEEASE! more

Took my car in and what was supposed to be two days ended up being 6 to change the fuel injectors and intake manifold gasket. Fortunately the cost didn't change and ten days later when one of the injectors failed they replaced it free of charge. Also they have $10 rental cars (through Enterprise) for the first two days you need it. The second time when the fuel injector failed they paid the entire cost of the rental car. I will definately be back if anything happens to my other car. Pros: $10 rental cars, excellent customer service Cons: Hours and time to finish the repair. more

As a single woman I tend to be nervous about being ""taken"" by an automotive repair service, but at Werner's Mastertek I felt confident that I was being treated fairly. All repairs were expalined to me in detail for my preapproval. I was provided with a rental car, and the staff was knowledgable and curteous. more

This shop Clearly explained the problem, fixed less then the dealer with better service. They are great, Chris the service advisor is awesome. He made me feel right at home.
