I have written two reviews on Dr. Anand, one good, and one bad. I loved Dr. Anand after finding him 3 years ago, and then we lost our insurance and moved to SC. I was still going to travel to see him once we got our insurance back, but I got mad at him when I called to get the prescriptions for my seizure disorder and was told by his nurse on my voicemail that they would not mail me pain meds scripts (that was NOT what I asked for, I know that is illegal - I'm not crazy). Dr. Anand had promised he would still mail me my seizure med scripts, and I could not get through to him personally. When we moved back to GA and got back our insurance, I was asked what neurologist I wanted to go to, and without hesitation, I said Dr. Anand. Even though his previous nurse had painted an untrue picture of me to him, and I had written a bad review of him online and KNEW he had seen it and that I would have to face him and talk to him about it, I still had no doubt he is the best and only one I trust. I was having numerous seizures at the time I wrote the bad review, and my brain wasn't working clearly obviously, and in my mind I just wanted him to know I was hurt with him ""abandoning"" me (that's how I saw it). After meeting with Dr. Anand today, we talked about it, and I see it was a misunderstanding that was created by his previous nurse. I knew in my heart that it couldn't be true, because he is the only neurologist in 20 years to actually try and FIX me rather than putting a band aid over the problem by throwing pills at me. I made the right choice with him 3 yrs ago, and I made the right choice today by swallowing my pride, going back to him, realizing I was wrong and should've trusted him, and apologizing to him. He has my trust now and forever, and I am publicly apologizing to him now for writing a bad review when he himself did not deserve it. I should have INSISTED to his staff to let me talk to him personally and all of this could have been avoided. On the flip side, I'm sure he has realized how important it is to personally communicate with his patients. I will take advantage of the patient portal going forward, and I look forward to a happy, healthy future with the best neurologist in the ATL. ;)
