Watsons Caterers

Having worked for Watson's Catering, I can say that Tracey, although a bit of a drill Sargent at times, truly does run one of the best catering companies in the Baltimore Metro area and gives everyone who hires her 110% of herself, often working to the point of exhaustion. She demands the best out of her staff because she wants to deliver a spectacular event. Should I be in need of a catering company, I'd look no further than Watson's. more

It is hard to believe anyone could have a bad experience with Watsons. I have used them for three events over the past three years and could not be happier. Their staff was always profession and courteous and Tracey Watson was outstanding. She assisted me in planning my menus, selecting linens and china, and was good enough to recommend florists that met my needs. The food Watsons prepared was beyond expectation - even at the second and third event! Chef Leroy's food is to die for and the presentation is always beautiful. It is so easy now to have a party bacuase I know I can count on Watsons. They certainly have made my life easy and my parties memorable. more

It is so unfortunate that someone must spend time blasting someone on the internet with false comments. It seems sometimes when it is time to pay for services rendered, folks have become overwhelmed by what they contracted to spend - after the fact. We at Watson Caterers bend over backwards working with people with a strict budget. \r \r The owner of Watson Caterers was NOT contracted to be at this wedding. It is impossible for owners to be at every event (and walk-thru), therefore excellent staff such as with Watson Caterers is essential.\r \r As far as ""DRUNK"", this is an outright lie. The owner of Watson Caterers does NOT drink while working and has NEVER been drunk. To come up with such a comment is slander. Trying to close the bar when it was time (per the regulations of the venue) was an effort for Watson Caterers and Evergreen. The drunkenness was on part of many people who ATTENDED the wedding reception. It was not easy for the venue and Watson Caterers staff to clean up after guests getting sick in the bathroom more than once.\r \r We have NEVER refused to serve guests during their contracted time even when payment has not been paid in full in a timely manner as stated in the contract. The comments in regards to linens and charges for tables (which Evergreen does not provide for outside use as stated in THEIR contract) is absurd.\r \r To hear the real truth of that particular wedding reception, contact the venue. They had their staff on duty the entire evening.\r \r Letters, awards, and notes of praise are what we (Watson Caterers) have received during our 37 years in the business. This is a first of such a letter. more

TERRIBLE company. The employees are the only bright spot as they were friendly and accommodating but the owner, Tracey Watson, was completey unavailable my entire wedding day (she didn't show up to the final walkthrough either), was extremely rude to my mother and when she finally did show up at about 11 p.m. was FALLING DOWN DRUNK! She proceeded to waltz, or stumble, around and say how beautiful everything was. In addition they ran out of knives halfway through the buffet and told our guests they didn't need knives for the food we were serving! (Beef brisket and grilled veggies). Horrible. Tracey also tacked on TONS of charges at the last minute and we were forced to pay if we wanted to serve dinner at our reception. She charged us for linens, an oven and a whole bunch of stuff that was specifically included in our original contract. Another low point was the fact that she ignored my instructions about only using white linens and put tattered, clashing table cloths in teal and lime green on my cocktail tables! (Our colors were black and white). Then she proceeded to tell my mother she ""upgraded"" our linens for ""free"" even though it was obvious she picked them up off the floor somewhere at the last minute. Terrible, terrible business. I second the first reviewer: Avoid! more
