OUTSTANDING ORTHODONTIST 10/4/2011

My three children have received treatment from Dr. Watson! He is a wonderful person and a highly qualified Orthodontist. My children have beautiful smiles that are beyond awesome! He took his time with our family right from the very beginning of treatment. He has a busy practice (the reason for this is because he is so AWESOME), but I always feel he is personally making sure that my children receive the highest quality of treatment and is attentive and thorough. He has sponsored waterbottles for my son's football teams, elementary and middle school, and my daughters drill team. He donates thousands and thousands of dollars each year for school fun runs and PTO drives! He even has sponsored my children's school directories! Schools in this area would sorely miss his generous donations each year. Do not go to anyone else! He is the best qualified Orthodontist in the state and personally a kind, generous, and outstanding citizen! more

NOT HAPPY, w/EXPERIENCE, NOT COMFORTABLE 11/2/2010

Dr. W is nice, but did not appear as experienced as other orthodontists. He did not take measurements, or gauge, or any kind of drawings like some other orthodontists I had been too. He did not recommend that I have teeth extracted prior to having appliances put on and as a result my teeth bow out more then expected and my teeth are not in alignment between the top and bottom rows. The front-office has a very office feel but not comfortable feeling by any means but the back offices where services are provided were unique from what I've seen in the past. All the dental chairs are in a row and open and about 2 feet apart. Therefore other patients are observing as braces are adjusted, applied, etc... Therefore it makes for a less personal environment with Dr. W and other patients can listen to Dr./Patient discussions. Except the Dr. doesn't actually ever even treat you. he just comes and checks on his ""assistants"" work to see if they have done his work correctly. He is only there a minute or 2 max. Lastly, when meeting with staff to discuss prices, the meeting is lead by the office manager. I was given a hard sell when trying to decide if I wanted to go forward with braces/appliances. Some of the points made, were “this is a good price”, “don't you want straight teeth”, etc… In addition, Dr. W is not involved in this discussion, so meeting completely focuses the scripted sales dynamics of it all... she said it was ""a good price"" but it didn't seem any different than the average price. Other than the hard sell I probably would have gone elsewhere and now...after the fact I'm wishing I would have gone else where!! I am NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! more

NOT HAPPY W/THE SMILE, SERVICE PRICE!! !!! !!! 11/2/2010

This guy is a joke not a Dr. seriously, I think he's JUST a CARTOON!!! I think he makes a better cartoon than he does a dentist anyway, in my opinion, from the work that I have PERSONALLY seen him do he should stick to the super hero cartoon character work!! HE absolutely SUCKS as an orthodontist!! more

My child was traumatized/her teeth ruined-ripped off for $7k 11/2/2010

This was the Worst experience I have ever had with ANY of my children with any type of Dr, dentist etc EVER. And, I have 5 children!! This is the 4th born and at 15/16 years old, getting braces/appliances applied! I've never had any of my children so upset, aggravated and traumatized by a Dr. that when we happened to see him around town, in public (this was while he was still treating her) she hid behind things in the store, so she wouldn't have to see him!! It really freaked me out and opened my eyes at the same time. I had thought up until then that they just didn't click or ? Perhaps, they hadn't gotten to know each other yet, but she would frequently miss appointments on purpose, and tell me she had to stay after school for tutoring (because she knew school trumped dentistry) etc...anyway, this was only several months into her treatment, but we had already paid in full, over $6900! I asked for a refund and they said they would refund me as though we were leaving the service early, as if my husband were transfered with his employment or ?...but we NEVER heard another word from them, never received $1 refund from them and never, ever got a return phone call from them when we called and called and called. I tried filing with the BBB, they said they don't take Dentistry cases, even though dentists can be BBB members, I tried filing with the dental board for which Dr. Watson is NOT a member...of any of them!! I DID file with the TEXAS board that holds his license! \r We had 2 other opinions which completed extensive work ups on her mouth. Dr. Watson NEVER did anything even close too this, the other opinions said that Watson had over stretched her jaw well, he over shot it by about quadruple!!)The other Dr's said this was the reason for all of her horrible headaches and facial pain...maximum you should EVER expand a jaw is a ""28"" my daughters jaw was expanded to a 37 thanks to Dr. Watson and his nurses twisting, and twisting their little tool with out ever measuring anything!! they didn't measure her jaw before they started (the way the other Dr's did with graphs and charts) and they did NOT do it on an ongoing basis the way the other orthodontist did that we hired to RE-DO Dr.Watson's crappy, lousy, lazy, work!! more
