I agree with the other person who gave a review, but I am in a different circumstance. I lost my job and was only getting ~$102.00 a week in unemployment. I explained to the company my circumstances but the woman told me on the phone ""hard luck stories don't cut it with our company. You need to pay the bill in full. And if you had a good, payment history they might work with you, but since this had been going on for a year they are not making any exceptions."" I was out of work for over a year. Forget the ten years of good record with them when I was able to pay on time and was employed. I also had a rental property and my own property to pay for garbage which made it difficult when I was unemployed. I tried to make payment arrangements and they kept tacking on late fees and $15.00 charges for interruption of service. I asked my renters and they said the garbage was never not picked up. They are not supposed to charge that fee unless the bill goes 100% unpaid for a period of time and they have had to stop service. They got away with charging me in a year up to five $15.00 fees eventhough I eventually paid the bill off by the time the next bill came out again. That was the payment arrangement that I needed to work with them. I could not pay it in full. I could only pay half everytime I got a compensation check. This company is rotten to the core! I communicated with them regularly because of my situation at the time, and their staff was rude to me about my bill. I wish the City of Portland worked with smaller companies over this nasty, greedy company in Portland.
