The worst. 4/6/2019

Bought a heat pump from this business in October of 2017.It was defective.They claimed they were months behind in service contracts. Filed a report with the Better Business Bureau and in June of 2017 they replaced it after spending a fortune in utility bills.They promised two years of annual inspections and repair.That never happened. more

Very fast, very bad work 2/27/2016

Having had recent other work done, we learned that WA Energy installed windows (6) and sliders(2) were never properly flashed or caulked. Plus they are expensive. I recommend you stay away from this company. more

Return service for purchased air filters 2/27/2016

I purchased 2 air filters for my furnace, which I only received 1. The filter was different from previous filters. I was told that the mfg recommended the change. Well this new filter was hard to get into provided space so I stopped and called. I spoke to a person by the name of April she was very condescending indicating I was just not putting the filter bin correctly and maybe I need to have someone else try because the filter was the correct size and she didn't know what else to tell me .I explained that I'd tried and I simply didn't want to bend the filer as they were expensive. She offered no other help, I asked to speak to her supervisor whom she came back after a long wait for me on the phone and said he was not available. She said she would have him call which she didn't. I call back today to talk to person named Layla. I informed her that I'd found the filter at a much cheaper price and I need a RPL (return purchase label) she was nice and informed me that she was not sure what the procedure was to return purchased items, she would have Corey Tolbin, to call me back. Mr. Tolbin did call me back and explained that the mfg of the furnace, which by the way I purchased from Washington Energy, had recommended the new filter as they find more firmly and wouldn't allow dirt particles to get into system as much as other filters. I explained that that was all well and good, as the customer who couldn't get the filter into the furnace that was not working for me and I simply needed the RPL to get my money back. He informed me that I'd have to send the filer back at my cost and I'd be Lee's their shipping fees. Now I'm going to send this filter back and I truly hope it doesn't take an inordinate amount of time to have most of my $87.60 returned. I'm very disappointed with this poor customer service. I spent a lot of money on this furnace, which by the way when the furnace was installed they didn't replace the flashing around the chimney and RATS burrowed holes and got into my house so I had to have exterminator and chimney repair cost. Soooo I'm not very happy with this company's service. I sincerely hope I will receive my refund as soon as possible. Disgurtal customer Annie Green more

SLOW DOWN AND BE SAFE FOR A CHANGE WASHINGTON ENERGY 8/11/2012

Today around noon on Highway 16 heading to Tacoma, a WA Energy truck (WA License Plate B77963S) passed me going faster than 70 mph. The speed limit is posted at 60 mph and the traffic was pretty congested. I noticed one of those safe driving stickers on the truck and I wondered if WA Energy can't follow basic traffic safety rules then how can I feel confident that they would follow basic safety rules installing something into my house? I recommend people shopping else where. more

Super bummed I chose this company 11/16/2011

I really, really wish I'd gone with Ballard Heating or Greenwood Heating--and I don't even have the new furnace yet! It was the old bait and switch. WES said they could install our new gas furnace in two weeks. We handed over our deposit. Then our sales guy stopped returning our calls for two weeks. When we finally reached him, he said they'd be able to install it in another month! So now we've been without heat for a month and a half :(. And since we already gave them our deposit we can't get out of the deal (well, without losing a lot of money). And they won't even give us a discount or anything for having lied to us!! I would not recommend using this company for a new furnace. more

Anderson Wood Windows 1/7/2010

We purchased five double hung Anderson wood windows from Randy with Washington Energy Services early in 2009. Randy was exceptional. The installation was quick and professional. The windows look fantastic and have reduced the street noise dramatically. Highly recommended. more

We've had a lot of contractors and they've raised the bar 8/28/2009

We needed several things done; soffits, gutters, fascia, windows and exterior doors. In short we have replaced nearly every exterior opening our house has, and they are all odd-sized and 'interesting'. WA energy services managed the entire job (otherwise we have needed 3 different contractors), they coordinated all measurements and schedules, did the job when they said they would, finished on time, on budget, and each crew was more professional than the last. They were all there on time each morning, respected our property and cleaned up thoroughly. The quality of the product is impeccible, and every last detail was taken care of (and believe me I am picky!!). They had a thorough contract and every aspect was agreed upon before any work commenced. The installation crews were terrific. They really went above and beyond just doing their job competently. We've had a lot of projects done on our 1960's fixer-upper. It's an odd little house where nothing is standard. These guys took it all in stride and seemed to really enjoy the transformation they were making. I don't expect a crew to feel quite the sense of 'ownership' in the changes that we do, but every single guy came to work in the morning and seemed excited by the difference they were making (I'll grant you it was a dramatic change). Mike - who came and did the estimate was also extraordinarily organized (I got 3 other quotes). He broke out our jobs on a series of spreadsheets so we could see exactly what each item was, what our options were and how each one affected cost. It's a big improvement over some guy sitting in his car phoning his 'manager' so they can offer us a 'discount' on a page full of messy writing. WA Energy's price never changed, not even if we would 'commit this week'. They also helped us fill out all the paperwork for the energy credits. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. I will most definitely do business with them again. more

Naturally skeptical but very impressed! 7/23/2008

I had Washington Energy Services install new vinyl windows in my house last winter and although the overall experience was good, I was especially impressed by the professionalism of their installers. They were very knowledgeable and courteous. I'm completely happy with the windows and the ease of the installation process! more

Quality Products and Service 3/12/2008

Washington Energy Services replaced our interior and exterior doors and they did a great job. The service and quality was excellent! They were so easy to work with and definitely helped us decide what would work best for our space. more

Washington Energy Services... My highest recommendation to this company 4/6/2006

This last winter, 2 days before Thanksgiving, our oil furnace went out. It is an older home that we are renting and to make a long story short, no other type of furnace, other than Natural Gas could be put into the home. Washington Energy Services went above what I consider exceptional service and were fantastic. At the time, we had a 6 month old and a 4 year old. We were trying to stay warm with a few space heaters. Our home was usually less than 60 degrees on any given day. When the City of Kent refused to expedite a permit to get the gas line from the street to the house, WES and Potelco personally went to the City of Kent to compel them to change their minds. What would have been a 6 month heating fiasco turned out to be only 1 month without proper heating. Thank you again to the folks at Washington Energy Services.... they'll take good care of you! more
